Preaching Folks Into Heaven…AFTER Their Dead?

Ok, if you are black and have been to a funeral in a predominantly black congregation, then you know ALL about this familiar ritual that black preachers do.

A loved one or a friend of the family passes. The funeral arrangements are made meticulously. Folks who couldn’t afford to pay a light bill go ALL OUT to bury loved ones (who regrettably didn’t have insurance) in style! To preach a great homegoing service for their dearly departed!

We have the viewing, the repasse, the funeral, and the burial. Blacks folks take like a good week to bury their loved ones.

I don’t say this mockingly; I say this because this is a tradition and a way of life (or should I rather say a way of death) for our people.

But what I want to focus on is preachers preaching EVERYONE into heaven!

This is a tradition that is traditional in the church. Black people are said to be ‘comforted’ when the preacher gives a eulogy that portrayed the person in the casket in a glorified, glamorized, iconic, and almost divine way. Oftentimes, the preacher automatically preaches the dead ‘into heaven,’ irregardless of how the dearly departed lived their lives, or how they left this life.

Coming up in a black Baptist church, this was commonplace and normal for me. Even after having become a woman, I saw no problem with this tradition. And truth be told, it did add ‘temporary’ comfort when a preacher would preach a departed loved one as ‘entering the pearly gates.’

But since having left the institutionalized church, I have had time to sit back and observe much of what we embrace as culture and tradition….

And I can BLATANTLY proclaim that this is nothing more than a form of idolatry and hypocrisy that we have perpertrated inside of the four walls of the church!

I have seen preachers preach the funerals of drug dealers-who died while selling crack to little kids-into heaven. I have watched preachers preach flaming, openly gay, unrepentant homosexuals into heaven. I have watched preachers preach EVERYBODY into heaven, as a matter of fact!

This scares me.

Why?

This scares me because a minister of the gospel is supposed to TELL THE TRUTH.

Now, we can get into the semantics and suppositions of ’we don’t know if they repented right before they got shot, or while they were on their knees giving that last blow…’ all we want.

But the fact of the matter is that when most people die, it is unexpected. All of a sudden. Death can happen in a millisecond. Before anyone can say ‘God, forgi….’ they are snuffed out. Gone. Capeche! There IS no time to repent.

Many don’t realize that.

So they go on living their lives like they got tomorrow…and not truly knowing if they do.

But I want to address the PREACHERS who have all this blood on their hands. YES, THEY DO.

How?

Because when that person in that casket was living, most preachers don’t preach heaven or hell anymore. Most preachers don’t preach on sin. They are afraid that folks are gonna come back at ‘em with the ‘Judge not, lest ye be judged…’

LOOK.

ALL OF US ARE GOING TO BE JUDGED. AND WE ARE GOING TO BE JUDGED BY WHAT WE DID IN THIS LIFE.

But GOD HIMSELF has appointed SOME VOICES TO JUDGE. And TO WARN people of their wicked ways. And don’t get it twisted…the ones who GOD is raising up and using are NOT going to be perfect and without sin themselves.

Since God has LEFT THE BUILDINGS, God is having to go into the highways and the byways. God is raising up voices in the crackhouses. IN the whorehouses. IN the jails. Compelling them to come in, NOT to church. But into the KINGDOM OF GOD!

THE PREACHERS SHOULD BE PREACHING FOLKS INTO HEAVEN…WHILE THEY ARE YET ALIVE AND HAVE A CHANCE TO REPENT!!!

NOT WHEN THEY ARE DEAD….

PREACHERS, STOP LYING TO PEOPLE. YOU ARE NOT COMFORTING THOSE WHO MOURN BY LYING TO THE PEOPLE. IF THAT PERSON WAS A HELLION ON EARTH, SAY SO. THEN USE THAT LIFE TO WARN OTHERS TO COME TO CHRIST JESUS WHILE THERE IS STILL YET TIME!!!!

IT IS TIME TO REPENT!!!!!

“…when I first heard it, it was even for me…It was hard…”

Pam is speaking of when God called her OUT of the institution we call ‘the church.’

I know many would say, ‘Would God do such a thing?” YES!

He did it for Pam. He did it for me. And He IS doing it for MANY…for the remnant.

God called me out of the Potter’s House in 2009. Now, you need to understand: I liked the PH. I liked TD Jakes. But when GOD calls you OUT, its time to come out.

The reason why so many find it challenging to leave the church because they always naturally assume that any voice telling them to leave their church is the devil. We have a warped view and perception of what the church is. We think church is the steeple, the people, and the pews.

THE INSTITUTIONALIZED CHURCH IS NOT THE CHURCH. WE ARE THE CHURCH!

THIS is what God is talking about in the Word when it says to forsake not the assembling of OURSELVES together. The Word is talking about US coming together in fellowship. What many fail to realize is that fellowship does not just manifest itself in the form of putting on your Sunday’s Best, jumping in a car, and congregating with 1000s of other people on Sunday. Fellowship CAN and DOES take place, streaming live webcast occur all the time of Internet. Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace-all the social network sites-are fellowshipping sites. Not necessarily religious ones, but millions fellowship online nonetheless. Chat rooms are another form of fellowship. They are not your traditional forms of fellowship, but the trend is leaning towards more and more people utitlizing this form of fellowship for one reason or another.

With that being said…

Since WE are the church, then WHEREVER WE GO, WE BRING ‘CHURCH” with US. Fellowship does not have to happen in a building.

So hopefully, as people realize this, they will be more willing to embrace that voice THAT IS FROM THE LORD that is telling you to leave the church. God’s ways truly are NOT our ways, neither are HIS thoughts our thoughts.

FORGIVENESS TRAP

I liked this video because it reminded me of the religious games that the institutionalized church makes us play, all in a failed effort to prove to ‘them’ how spiritual we are.

In this video, Pam discusses her return to the I.C. She explains that she went back ‘to test herself,’ to see if she was embittered on unforgiving towards the very church people who had done her wrong.

It made me think of an instance when I was in the I.C. where I, too, returned to the I.C. But it wasn’t GOD who led me to return. A religious spirit had told me that if I had REALLY forgiven this ‘church,’ then I would have to ‘prove it’ by returning, by repenting to that pastor and that church and act like nothing had ever occurred.

How many times have we who were formerly entangled with the I.C. were told that LIE (YES, I call it a LIE)? Either some two-legged religious devil, or a ‘voice’ who we perceived was GOD told us that if we REALLY were walking in TOTAL LOVE AND FORGIVENESS, then we would place ourselves RIGHT BACK into the abusive situation that caused what others call ‘offense’ (But what I call an atrocity before God) in the first place.

And because we were ALL under the influence of a religious demon, we fell for it. We went back.

In Pam’s case, she was astutely aware of what was going on around her. She was able to discern who was at work. She needed to go back…as she stated, to test herself.

In my case, I SHOULDN’T have gone back. I won’t go into details, but I will say it was a disaster and a spiritual tornado upon my return..

Listen…

Once God leads you out of a church, out of an abusive relationship, once God releases you from a place or thing, DON’T GO BACK!!!!

THAT IS A TRAP RELIGIOUS DEMONS LOVE TO PLACE US IN…BECAUSE THE WHOLE POINT OF IT IS TO KILL, TO STEAL AND TO DESTROY…YOU!!!

YOU HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE TO ANYONE!!! NOT EVEN YOURSELF!!!!

Forgiveness is not something you feel; it’s a decision. You decide to forgive someone of a wrongdoing. Then walk it OUT in faith that AS YOU GO, God will help you to continue to WALK IN FORGIVENESS.

When you walk, you are not stationery. You don’t walk in place, not if you’re trying to get somewhere. You place one foot in front of the order. YOUR STEPS ARE ORDERED BY GOD!!!!

TRUST GOD WHO CALLED YOU OUT…AND STAY OUT!!!! KNOW THAT THAT VOICE YOU’RE HEARING TO STAY OR RETURN TO SOME FOOLISHNESS IS A RELIGIOUS DEVIL!

A Religious Demon Knows How To Prophesy, Too

As I watched this 6th installment of ‘Leave The Church’ by Pam Sheppard, I went back to the times I was in church and thought I had heard a word from the Lord.

This is such a powerful revelation because churchgoers and those who seeks after signs often think that everything-and I do mean EVERYTHING-that happens inside the four walls of the institutionalized church is FROM GOD.

What this video reveals is that a religious demon can out-preach the best preacher, out-prophesy the best prophets, out-sing the best singers. A religious demon/spirit can also be ANOINTED.

In the video above, Pam talks about her experience of being ‘called into the ministry.’

She goes into detail of her heart’s disclosure(s) when she got the call…as she asks the hard questions that EVERYONE who is entering ministry should ask themselves.

And not only is it necessary to ask the hard questions, but to answer them…honestly.

In Pam Sheppard’s ‘Faces of a Religious Demon,’ I learned many things about the religious spirit. Or rather, a lot of things I already felt were true in my spirit were repeated in this book. It is by far one of the best books I have ever read.

What Pam and I both have concluded is that the enemy-in the form of a religious spirit-oftentimes will make a person believe that they are called into the ministry. Many do not really grasp that concept because for so long in the institutionalized church, the ministry has been glamorized and made to be somewhat of a career. When really it is a life of serving.

The religious spirit will use many supernatural means to call and confirm the call. Many who are prone to be bamboozled into believing lies from the enemy are those who are strongly attracted to supernatural signs, those who are naturally manipulating and controlling, those who lust for power, fame, and fortune, and those who love to be the center of attention.

It is SO important to examine ourselves thoroughly before making any commitment to ministry of any kind. We have to try the spirits and see if they be OF GOD.

The scene was a poignant one, played out night after night all over the deep south. An exodus of dusty, overworked field slaves trudged through the darkness on their way to a “meeting on the old camp ground.” It was an appointment they had to keep – even after picking and gleaning in cotton fields since the sun’s rising.

Weary bodies were powerless against the compelling draw to the old camp meeting. Soaring spirits sparked exuberance and hopeful anticipation of the transformation about to take place. Some only had an open brush arbor, sometimes called a “brush harbor,” as a place of worship. Others had a little wooden structure they called “the praise house.”

Look now as they gather, singing and strutting on their way. Someone might raise a chorus of “Swing Low Sweet Chariot,” and everyone would join the refrain:

Swing low, sweet chariot

Coming for to carry me home

Swing low, sweet chariot

Coming for to carry me home

Perhaps a verse or two of “This Train Is Bound For Glory,” might be heard:

This train is bound for glory, this train.

This train is bound for glory,

Don’t carry nothing but the righteous and the holy.

This train is bound for glory, this train.

Or the abiding favorite, “Steal Away to Jesus:”

Steal away, steal away, steal away to Jesus!

Steal away, steal away home,

I ain’t got long to stay here.

My Lord, He calls me,

He calls me by the thunder;

The trumpet sounds within my soul,

I ain’t got long to stay here.

The mood was jubilant and free because something wonderful was about to happen. These oppressed were preparing for the rapture of emotion and release that would sweep them up and take them beyond their mean and present fate. God’s hope of glory in Jesus promised something wonderful beyond the earthly realm in the hereafter. But a succulent foretaste was available to all every time they gathered for worship.

The itinerant black preacher made his rounds throughout the region, belonging to no one but God. He was the chosen conductor, anointed by his Creator, to lead the flock into an abandon of woes and cares weighty enough to rob them of life. Worshippers filled the arbor and packed the praise house to overflowing. They knew the bonds of depression and hopelessness would soon be unshackled.

God’s conduit of deliverance was the passionate swell of their preacher’s voice, recounting the well-loved Bible stories of “Ole Dan’l in de lions’ den,” or ‘Lil’ David slayin’ that big ole giant Goliah.” That “call-and-response” tradition brought over from the shores of Africa “helped the preacher preach.” He shouts a phrase, and the congregation roars an enthusiastic response. Back and forth, back and forth – the scene builds into a peaking crescendo when he proclaims the Lord’s deliverance in the sermon’s end.

The joyous throng fills the air with unbridled shouting that can be heard for miles around as dancing feet on the old wooden floor planks rumble underneath. What looks like a nonsensical and pointless display of emotion to outsiders is actually a liberating and transforming journey on the glory road. The genius of black preaching brought a cathartic, therapeutic relief that saved a race from committing suicide.

The shouting would go on late into the night and early morning. When the sun rose once more on the monotony of another work day in the fields, new strength and spiritual fortitude had somehow dispelled the fatigue and psychosis brought on by their hapless circumstance.

The black minister “preached them happy,” inciting the frenzied release of the emotional and mental anguish that struck at their sanity. What the black preacher did for his people was a reality, I don’t believe, that was ever lost on him. He understood his call. He understood his mission – the very survival of a race most assuredly rested upon his shoulders.

Today’s call-and-response practice in black congregations with their pastors is derived from those foregenerations. Indeed, the modern role of a pastor and the church family is as vital to African-Americans as ever.

In Bogota, Colombia, two priests hired hitmen to shoot them both. This headline immediately caught my attention, so I decided to read why would two men of the cloth decide to kill themselves.

It turns out that one of the priests had AIDS and syphillis. And I guess the other priest went along with the suicide pact probably because he had some kind of affair with the priest with AIDS.

Now, sad to say, we hear about this type of thing ALL the time. Stories of sexual corruption within the Roman Catholic church. Its quite sickening!

I read a testimony of a former nun, her name is Sister Charlotte, and how she was abused in the Roman Catholic Convent system. She tells of the babies that were killed by Mother Superior, babies belonging to the priests. She tells of torture chambers for nuns who were ‘non-compliant.’ She tells of initiation rites where nuns-in-training had to lie in a coffin for nine hours, dying to the world as they once knew it. She tells of nuns coming from well-to-do families signing over their inheritances to the R.C. church after taking a vow of poverty.

And while it would be easy for us ‘Protestants’ to point fingers at the R.C. church regarding these things, the fact of the matter is that we simply cannot. We can’t because now the Protestant church is just as guilty for the exact same things! I promise you, if you google the words ‘minister,’ ‘sex,’ ‘scandal,’ or ‘money,’ you can read a few stories about Preachers Gone Wild.

Why am I writing about this?

The Protestant church modeled itself after the Roman Catholic order many, many years ago. And look what is happening within the walls of the institutionalized church. Every seed produces after its own kind: if you borne something out of a corrupt seed, the fruit thereof will ALSO be corrupt.

We should not act surprised or try to justify corruption when it is found in an ANY institutionalized church. The discovery is to wake US up to the true condition of what we all at one time or another thought was ‘the church.’

WE ARE THE CHURCH!

We cannot attend a church because WE are the TEMPLES of the Holy Ghost. We are carriers of the anointing, of the glory of God. It is a gross misonomer to delegate the church as being merely a physical structure. When we do so, we are desecrating the very thing that Christ TRULY died for…HIS BRIDE.

Once we recognize that, then we will be able to do what HE SET OUT for HIS BRIDE to do in the earth realm today!

In the words of Sister Charlotte herself, God will ‘… make a way for you to come out…’ of the convent (the church system).

Spiritual Chitlins…

We are about half way through Black History Month. We have celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday (most of us). And in light of that, I want to ask you all-blacks and whites alike-a question.

ARE YOU REALLY FREE?

No, not from racism. Anyone with two eyes and two ears can honestly see that we still have a long way to go before racism is totally eradicated in this country.

No, what I want to know is are you free….FROM RELIGION????

During slavery, the slaves had a very poor diet. According to several writings from actual slaves, a slaves’ diet included molasses, chitlins, hamhocks, corn meal, Indian corn, black-eyed peas, very little vegetables or fish, and some birds. Whatever their masters in the plantation did not want or threw away, THAT is what the slaves consumed…them and their children.

I got this analogy of the church being likened to a plantation during slavery from my friends over at the Church Folk Revolution (thanks, btw!).

As I sat and pondered on this for a while, the similarities between the institutionalized church and the plantations where slaves were oppressed became more obvious to me.

Just like the slaves on those plantations starved and were overworked, oppressed, and poorly fed, so are congregants who go to these churches (sad to say, mostly the congregants who go to predominantly black congregations) not being properly nourished. They are fed spiritual chitlins and hog, hammocks and throwaway scraps.

A bunch of recycled messages/scraps from the tables of famous preachers. Recycled over and over again. That’s how religious clichés and old prophecies such as ‘this is your season’ or ‘we are in a shift’ become so popular….they are nothing more than spiritual chitlins. (Now, I know there are some of you that love chitlins…but the fact is that chitlins is nothing more than hog guts. Its waste. Its disgusting and have absolutely NO nutritional value.)

Well, just like chitlins in the natural are stink, have no nutritional value…even though they are quite fulfilling and satisfying.

So are MOST of the teachings that go forth in the institutionalized church are nothing more than spiritual chitlins. They STINK in the nostrils of GOD, they yield NO spiritual or eternal value…even though they do serve to appease the hearers…albeit temporarily.

Being from New Orleans, I have family and friends that LOVE chitlins. So I can hear some of your responses to this post…”There’s nothing wrong with eating chitlins! They are GOOD!”

Well, according to the NY Health Department, eating chitlins (which are nothing more than a pig’s small intestines!) can present dangers to one’s health. There is a risk of contracting E. Coli, Salmonella, and what’s known as yersinia, a bacterial infection that causes diarrhea, fever, and severe abdominal cramps that feel like appendicitis.

Not to mention what the long-term effects are of such a diet. Chitlins are high in cholesterol, which can lead to high blood pressure and heart disease.

Just imagine: slaves had no choice but to eat chitlins as long as they remained on the plantation, as long as they were slaves to ‘massa.’ They ate chitlins because that’s all they had to survive. It was either eat chitlins or starve…

But people who are ‘slaves’ to the institutionalized church system-religious plantations, I call them-THEY have a CHOICE!

Your pastor/massa is serving you SPIRITUAL CHITLINS every week…and because it’s traditional, and it tastes good to you, you don’t see anything wrong with it!

Oh sure. There is a stench in the air…some have gotten used to it, it’s been there so long. Just like when you’re in the kitchen, preparing those vittles…after awhile, you don’t even smell the funk anymore…

There is that stench in the air…but it’s only noticeable to those who walk up in your building for the first time. The funk hits them in the face as soon as they enter the doors of your church. Its slaps them in the face! And while they are holding their noses almost wanting to puke, fanning their faces, trying to figure out ‘What IS that smell?’ You are sitting there, waiting on your next serving of SPIRITUAL CHITLINS!

And then you get offended when those visitors don’t come back anymore!

We hear folks talk about nobody’s getting saved in church anymore, that saved folks are just migrating from church to church, house to house. I have to agree with this: except what’s happening is that saints/slaves are starving. They are tired of their steady diet of spiritual chitlins and hammocks, smothered in spiritual cornbread and molasses.

The chitlins have passed for the meat of the word, and the pastors/massas have made it palatable and tasty for you by including hefty side orders of spiritual cornbread and molasses, to sweeten it for you. To make the so called ‘meat-of-the-word’ they are peddling go down easier. Just like when mama used to make that corn bread with that red beans and rice…a lot of times, she wouldn’t even use rice. She would just eat the beans with corn bread, in her own words, to make the beans go down easier!

Pastors/Massas for generations has gotten away with feeding the slaves, oops…excuse me, saints, chitlins, greens, red beans and corn bread. And the saints saw nothing wrong with it for a long time.

But as more and more slaves/saints start getting spiritually sick from their steady diets of death and scraps, more and more of others slaves are taking a stand. In their minds, their ‘stand’ is to go to another church. It is a major accomplishment in the minds of those saints ‘who smell the funk’ in their old churches for them to pick up and move somewhere else.

But what they fail to realize is that THAT pastor/massa where they migrate to have the same funk on their plantation/in their church, too. Some pastors/massa-when they find out that you were ‘Jakes’ or Longs’ ni_ _ _ _ , or belonged to another church but left the ‘wrong way,’ i.e. you didn’t get pastor/massa’s permission to leave or you didn’t get ‘released,’ then they tell you ‘You better go back where you came from!’

(How many of y’all remember Creflo telling Eddie Long’s congregants who went to his church after the scandal to go BACK to New Birth when the grits started hitting the fan?)

Creflo even called them NEGROES at about 1 minute and 40 seconds or so into this video!

Wow.

The above video looks SO much like a scene out of the movie ROOTS when a slave ran away to another massa’s plantation who seemed to be nicer or kinder to the slaves. And that massa would rebuke that slave for running away to his plantation-that slave might get a lashing or two before being returned to his original master.

It’s so time to WAKE UP!

If you go the institutionalized church, you are in SLAVERY!

And ALL the pastors/massas (YES, YOUR PASTOR, TOO!) work together to KEEP you that way!

What a sad state to be in, especially as so many celebrate Black History Month, claiming to be free. Yet, in actuality, you are yet STILL SLAVES, feeding on SPIRITUAL CHITLINS!

Demons in Church – Could It Be So?

Could it be that demons are in the church? Oh, we know about the people who come to church seeking deliverance. They come to the altar or participate in private deliverance sessions in church…but they leave both no better than when they came. Demons of addiction, pornography, perversion, depression, illness, varied forms of mental illness.

These are all obvious demons we KNOW about, KNOW they exist in the church.

But there are OTHER types of demons in the church.

They are called religious demons.

Religious demons are evil forces that mask themselves as good that will do ANYTHING to protect the institutionalized church, a ministry, a preacher, a fellowship, or any other religious-or even spiritual-entity. Many of these are now functional cults and don’t even realize it!

I have seen demonic manifestations of the religious nature in CHURCH. I have personally seen demonic manifestations while during a church service, one while we were still a part of the institutionalized church, the other occurred when we visited a service last year.

I have seen religious demons manifest, harass me, watch me, stare at me, and torment my children. All while participating during so-called worship services.

My question has always been, ‘If the presence of God so permeates this place where I worship, how is it that these religious demons can have such free reign…in ‘the presence of God?’

The problem is many don’t even recognize when a religious demon is manifesting right before their eyes. They mistake the manifestation for ‘a move of God.’ But over time, God started giving me discernment into what I really was dealing with.

I have seen religious demons manifest in the most mega of churches to house churches.

How do they manifest?

And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence,shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

Ok.

We all have heard this ‘shake the dust off your feet’ and keep it moving phrase before..in the church.

What I want to point out is that in Mark 6, the disciples went about preaching the Kingdom of God…from ‘house’ to ‘house.’ In the midst of this, there was a lot of healing going on. Miracles. Signs and wonders.

Take note that most of these miracles, healings, and deliverances were going on OUTSIDE of the temple.

Jesus had already admitted that because of their UNBELIEF, He couldn’t do ANY mighty works.

Do you see that?

Today, the ‘church’ is crying out for signs, miracles and wonders, yet THE REAL JESUS OF NAZARETH is NOT in the building!

Some get upset and state the above scripture is some type of curse. I will say that it is more of a command. It came STRAIGHT FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD, by way of Jesus Christ. So WHATEVER HE SAYS, THAT I WILL DO!

Many do not embrace THIS particular teaching of Christ Jesus because they have a false perception of love. They think that by leaving the church and not looking back, that that constitutes ‘putting a curse’ on a congregation.

Nothing could be MORE LAUGHABLE!

The Word of God says a curse causeless shall not stand (Proverbs 26:2). That means no one can curse you unless you are in DISOBEDIENCE or NOT RELATIONSHIP with God. If you are TRULY BORN AGAIN, you have been redeemed from the curse (of the law).

In other words, the only way a curse can work on you is if you are not saved!!! Or in rebellion.

Let’s clear up some things: first, God DOES send prophets to a group of people. Second, if that group of people refuses to take heed to the voice of GOD and be obedient, then JESUS HIMSELF commands those WHO ARE SENT to SHAKE THE DUST OFF YOUR FEET AND KEEP IT MOVING!!!!!

Trust me: you do NOT want to disobey God when He calls you to come out of a church system! You will be cursed right along with those people! Guilt by association…

Take another look at the story of Sodom and Gomorrah: all of Lot’s family got out of harm’s way when judgment came…all EXCEPT Lot’s wife! And it wasn’t even because she stayed behind when God said go. It was because she MERELY LOOKED BACK at that which God told her to RELEASE!!!!!!

Look…

God has been dealing with a LOT of you to come out of these churches, yet you stay because you think that your presence would make a difference. Your prayers are just oh-so-powerful that now YOU-PROPHET ALMIGHTY, APOSTLE ALMIGHTY, EVANGELIST ALMIGHTY-you think YOU are going to change the church.

NO….YOU ARE NOT!

Just like God warned Lot and his people to get out of Dodge so they wouldn’t suffer judgment with Sodom and Gomorrah, so DO YOU have to TOTALLY and COMPLETELY remove yourself-mind, body, soul, and spirit-from these churches. If you have been instructed by God to GO, GGGOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Judgment was already in the works for S & G….nothing that Lot, his people, Abraham-the Father of ALL nations-or HIS people could do to change God’s mind.

The intercession that Abraham brought before God did NOT work for the people of S & G! It only had enough ‘prayer power’ to save Abraham and his people!!!!!

I have mistakenly thought God was placing upon me a ‘burden’ for the lost in the church, so that’s why I should stay, fast and pray.

And the longer I stayed, the more harm I brought upon myself and my house! God had to literally use TWO hurricanes to get me out of a false church!!!

Hurricanes Katrina AND Gustav!

That’s right…it’s only the mercies of GOD that we were NOT consumed!

And here I thought I was doing God’s service!

After Gustav…I was OUT OF THERE!

SHAKE THE DUST AND DON’T LOOK BACK

Leaving any social group is not an easy task. All humans are social beings. When we hurt and we are forced outside of a group’s circle, we either desire to vindicate ourselves in one way or another, or we passively stew in a simmering pot of self recriminations, depression and regrets. When people reject us because of WHO we are and NOT what we have actually done, then the pattern of our private times of reflexion will cause us to consider that since we couldn’t fit in, perhaps the majority is right and the fault lies in
our own camp.

Let us also not forget that peer pressure from those we have left behind can certainly be a stumbling-block to those who for one reason or the other, found themselves “outside the sheepfold.” Preachers probably denounced you openly from the pulpit in the hearing of your peers. What follows is that your peers will take it upon themselves to believe that “you are in sin and going to hell because you left them,” and so they will valiantly try to win you back. When you run into them in your community, some will sadly look at you and piously repeat the platitude of “I’m praying for you,” while others may even scold you with “a piece of their mind” about “you disrespected my pastor!.”

: My church horror story is only the tip of the iceberg. You need this book to know why YOU must shake the dust to; be safe in this hour.

My case was different because as a former pastor and an evangelist for 25 years, I was never really welcomed or accepted in the Denomination in the first place. Even though I expected that the people would be delirious with glee if I left them , coming out of the church was not a “walk in the park” for me by any stretch of the imagination. Commonsense should have told me, ”since these people cannot stand you and only tolerate you being among them, why not just shake their dust from your feet? It is clear that they will not accept you or the word that you preach, Pam!”

Believe me, after what I endured among them, some might think that I was either a glutton for punishment or something “else” was going on with me. The truth is that I believed that I was God’s prophet, sent to a dying, sinning traditional church, to cause the people to turn from their wicked ways and repent. Therefore, the spiritual abuse that I endured in that place was my way of “suffering for Christ.” I strongly believed that God needed me to stay among the enemy in order to convert them.

So as a root in dry ground, my feet were firmly planted on hostile territory. So when I came out, it was because “God spoke.” He warned very clearly in a dream, “if you stay in that church, I will not be able to use you, and you shall remain a candle or a light, hidden under a bed. However, don’t leave on your own. Let them put you out.”

At the time, my prophetic way of thinking caused me to believe that God wanted the Denomination to put me out because He wanted to judge them for not receiving the prophet that He had sent them. However, today, I am a lot less self consumed. You see, the Lord eventually revealed that “He never sent me there in the first place, nor did He or would He call a babe in Christ like I was in ’81, into ministry in such a sinful place for the sheep in wolves clothing to overtake me!.” When I tried the spirits and looked back at the time I believed that I was called, I could see how the devil’s hand was in ALL of it. I had heard from God! Wow!

So I understand today, that the Lord desired the church to put me out in 2004 in order to save me from the pervasive mental anguish of constantly wondering if I had done the right thing by walking out on my own. As a result, I could not blame myself in any way for coming out since they put ME out. It was a rather simple process. Since I did not attend the annual meeting, the Bishop used a technicality to remove my names from the rolls. Since I did not send in my annual dues of $660, the Bishop convinced the delegate voters that removing me was possible and acceptable within the laws of the Church.

Did I expect such a thing to happen? No, I did not. I had no idea how they could even put me out because I was in excellent ministerial standing. This was a technicality never before used, for there were people in nursing homes who had not sent in the annual dues for 10 years or more, yet their names were never removed. Also, I was aware of other active ministers who never paid the dues at any time. Therefore, I could have fought this arbitrary decision and remained a minister in good standing. However, since God had already revealed to me that I MUST come out 9 months before they actually put me out, I did not protest. I left quietly. I received only one call from a minister who enquired of my well-being. No one else in hundreds of people tried to convince me to come back so leaving was made easy for me.

So that no one comes away from this thinking, “Oh, since she was so spiritually abused, she is against the church entirely,” you need to know this. When I was removed in 2004, I completely expected that God would lead me to another church organization. I waited patiently for 2 years until I heard from the Lord “the next time”. To my surprise, the Lord revealed that He had no intention of sending me to any church. A year or so later, the Lord explained why He desired that I remain “church free.” It has been a progressive revelation.

As for the Denomination, the new Bishop invited me back in 2008. He said “Pam, I’ll support you in EVERYTHING that you do. I want you to re-affiliate your ministry with us. We need ministers like you. I am so sorry that the Denomination did not act like the Church. I want you back.”

When a Bishop says words like that to any minister, he has the power to back it up. For example, a bishop has the power and influence to simply ”request” that each and every church under his authority buy ALL of my books, in bulk. We are talking about several thousands of here and loads of dollars here. I could have become a best-selling author overnight by the request of ONE bishop. A bishop can also “suggest” to every pastor under his authority to invite me to preach or conduct seminars in their respective churches. This means even more dollars in my pocket. The Bishop also has the power to appoint me to any church that I desire to pastor. This means a church salary. One bishop also has influence with 11 others, who can do the exact same thing for me in their respective regions, “at my Bishop’s request.” Now you are talking about millions. A worldwide denomination, more than 200 years old, the bishops are in complete control over every pastor, minister and church under their charge.

Two days after speaking with the new Bishop, “I heard from God.” He impressed upon me, “Pam, the 3 dreams that you had in 1979 that caused you to join the Denomination, were not sent to you by Me. I never sent you to that church, nor did I desire for you to become a minister therein. The words that the Bishop spoke to you two days ago were not inspired by Me either!”

The Lord did not mention the devil ONE time. However, since I knew that I did not create those dreams and that I did not call myself into ministry, the only other choice was “obvious!”

Leaving the organized church, and not looking back, is going to be extremely difficult for some of you, particularly for those that have been favored or at least well received, and for those who have had satisfying ministries or may even have earned some income. Don’t be surprised, if it may be somewhat challenging to break those ties. When your children have bonded with other children and have participated in daycare, afterschool programs, summer camp and the like, cutting ties is even more complicated. Music ministries are particularly challenging. So are friendships that provided you with opportunities for companionship and Christian fellowship.

To ALL of you, I say these brief words, a few from the Lord, a few from me:

If your righthand offend you, cut it off.

If you need to be social, join the Y! You will be much safer. Much better off.

However, to help you make up your mind, consider this. There are 3 main reasons that you should leave your church, without looking back.

1. Fallen angels have been feverishly and skillfully working for about a century to infiltrate the entire organized church system with false doctrines, in order to be able to gain access to all pulpits. Demons and devils have brought plagues into the churches. People are being tormented.

2. Since ALL but a few churches are caught up in the decisional salvation message, namely, that man chooses Christ by repeating a sinner’s prayer or responding to an altar call, Are there saved people in church? Certainly! However, ask them how they got saved. I am willing to bet that the day they got saved, “they were not in church.”

3. There is coming a movement called “Joel’s Army.” In fact, it is already here. Once this movement really takes hold, Joel’s Army leaders teach that there will be a civil war among the churches. Those who are in disagreement with their doctrines and practices will be removed or “wiped out.” Since this war is not only spiritual but “natural,” you may have to take a pistol into church with you one day coming too soon for comfort.

Once you come out, Beloved, then I warn you. Don’t look back.

This article provides a very practical reason why you should leave the organized church. Various pastors are already being prepped to play a significant role in endtimes—a role that suggests to me that the organized church will become a part of the New World Order.

As such, it is no wise to have your name on church rolls.

It is quite interesting that I was sent this article a week or so AFTER I had a significant dream in the spring of 2011. I have never been one to read the news or to watch it on TV. However, what I need to know often comes to me in unique ways.

Notice the year the article was published. 2006. It is not a recent article. It seems the press has not reported on FEMA and the pastors in recent years. At least I was unaware of this info until someone sent the article to me this past spring.

In the dream, I was in my dwelling. First, I watched the TV scramble, thwn the web go down, then the water back up in the sink and it was filled with sewage. Yet I do not know if the electricity was completely off because the dream occurred in the bright of day and I did not try the electrical sockets.

I went outside and there was this goon squad outside my door. They were Caucasian, and they were “foreign.” I would say “Nordic” looking. They had foreign accents. Across the street there was a large church. In truth, there is no church within miles of where I live. In the dream, the people were slowly filing into this church , not for a worship service but it seemed the church was in control of food and water and “other things.” The people were lined up like they were standing outside of a soup kitchen or they were there to be inoculated.

I asked one of the goon’s if the local markets were opened. He gave me a wry, mocking grin and said “No, go back inside. We have things under control here.”

One other important thing.

In the dream, there was no local police. It seemed that “the goon squad” was in charge. In the dream, I was shown how long it would be before these things would happen. I was given a range of years. Any where from now to the year 2015, martial law will begin in this country.

Is the dream from God?

I don’t know.

All I know is that it was NOT from ME! It is either from God or the devil.

There are other things that were in this dream that I am not at liberty to repeat at this time. I will simply say that by December 2012, I will know if this dream is from the Lord.

In the meantime, I am stocking up on food and water. It won’t hurt. I can always give the surplus away. Better safe than sorry.

You are probably wondering why Pam Sheppard Ministries is pushing out several articles a day.

One main reason. Time is short. We don’t anticipate that the web will be a resource after 2015. We hope it will be here and that my dream was NOT from the Lord. However, there was nothing in the dream that suggested that the devil sent it. If he did, then his motive was fear. I am not afraid. I simply say “Come Lord Jesus!” My faith has not wavered but it has increased. I am a survivor. An overcomer. My Lord told me to “fear not,” and I am His obedient servant.

Therefore, I fear not!

I am also not a “Harold Camping.” I don’t say God told me this or that before I know for sure. I believe in trying the spirits to see if they be of God. I will know by December 2012.

Jezebel – Prophets of Baal

I have seen a lot of people speaking on Jezebel. A LOT. We are to study to show ourselves approved. So it is commendable that more are grasping the reality of the existence of Jezebel in the local church assembly and in leadership, in particular.

But I think that the jury is out on how many people realize that Jezebel-as formidable a spirit as she is-serves another god, a god that is blindly being served, worshipped and honored in many pulpits and altars today.

The GOD of BAAL.

The Spirit of Baal is an ancient spirit. Baal means ‘master,’ ‘owner’ or ‘lord.’ People were celebrating the god Baal as far back as the 14,000 years before Christ was born. Most of the Baal worshippers were the descendents of the oldest son of Noah, Shem. Baal was the god of fertility, lands, cattle, rain, prosperity, and the harvest.

To make a long story short, the Israelites constantly fell into idol worship of Baal time and time again because they wouldn’t trust God for their daily needs-especially in the scary, rocky, and hard times. Even though God had told them to not serve other gods but to trust Him to supply every need-day by day, the Israelites time and time again fell into idol worship and spiritual adultery. They would forget what God had done for them and would go ‘whoring’ after other gods….mainly Baal. Baal was mostly a Canaanite god. Canaan was Israel’s ‘Promised Land.’

Reminds you of any times today?

In the midst of yet another recession, a LOT of people have strayed away from trusting God TOTALLY for their daily bread, in Jehovah Jireh to provide all their needs. They don’t see manifestations of God as often as they would like, so they doubt his Presence today. They have forgotten their testimony and gone whoring after the gods of prosperity, relationships/marriages, children/having babies/baby worship, idol worship of man, even after ministries.

Remember in the Word, Jezebel’s prophets ….they were called ‘Prophets of Baal.’ They had a ‘ministry,’ too.

And just as Queen Jezebel was seeking and recruiting for her company of Prophets of Baal, so it is NOW that the Spirit of Jezebel is recruiting for people to worship her god, Baal.

In order for her to be successful in her recruitment efforts, Jezebel has to get you to come to her ‘recruitment centers,’ just like an army recruiter has to have those who are interested in enlisting into the Army to come to their recruitment office. These recruitment centers are called ‘churches.’ Some of them are more specific, and are labeled ‘Schools of the Prophets’ or ‘Schools of the Apostles,’ maybe even ‘ministerial school.’

The Qualifications for acceptance into a Baal Recruitment Center:

1) You have to be weak minded

2) You cannot know your TRUE identity, and be willing to take on another identity.

3) You have to be ambitious.

4) You have to be willing to put man before God.

5) You have to be prideful.

These are the basic foundational elements that a potential Baal worshipper must possess to be recruited into one of these Baal Recruitment Centers.

I was there. I once was a part of the ‘system’ known as Babylon, the Baal Recruitment Center. I was very zealous towards the things of God, but very naive about the capacity for flesh to simply let you down. The following is an acceptance letter into one of the most prestigious ministerial schools in the country, the Potter’s House School of Ministry.

So it took me getting abused over and over again by the system before I got ‘a revelation’ that it was time for us (my children and I) to COME OUT from among JEZEBEL, her recruitment centers, and her god BAAL and BE SEPARATE!!!

That was my FIRST STEP into deliverance from Jezebel and all influences of Baal.

My deliverance has been progressive; as I take one more step towards victory, I share it. Why?

Because it is my desire to see others FREE from Jezebel’s and Baal’s grasp.

I knew probably about 6 years ago I had been contending with a religious spirit, but just didn’t how to do so effectively. What Is a Jezebel Spirit?

I don’t particularly like the name. From a psychological perspective, the Jezebel spirit is a personality type. It is called narcissistic personality disorder. You cannot “cast out” someone’s personality. Personality transformation is a renewal of the mind over time, a part of the deliverance counseling process. However, from a spiritual perspective, the Jezebel “spirit” is simply a religious demon or a religious spirit. I called my third book “Faces of the Religious Demon,” because there practically countless ways that this demon manifests itself. In the book, I present cases or profiles that were like “faces” or various facets of this demon.

There are people with religious demons who are tormented either with hearing voices, fears of having committed the unpardonable sin or of going to hell as well constantly are bombarded by blasphemous thoughts. Some can’t even read their bibles out loud or silently. I recall a case where a captive could only read a pocket bible for fear that a demon would use her arm to pound her in the head with a hardcover, and possibly sustain a concussion.

So it is easy to embrace a quick-fix simply to relieve or stop the torment. Most workers simply attempt to cast out demons as a means to remove ALL of a person’s bondages. It never really works. I have found that setting captives free who have a spirit of religiosity in any form, involves more than simply driving out the demons.

There are usually various strongholds to be torn down. Since strongholds are incorrect thinking patterns, this is done through the renewing of the captive’s mind according to the Word of God. As the Lord said “you can’t put new wine into old wineskins or it will break. You can’t put a new patch of cloth on an old garment or it will tear, and you certainly cannot serve 2 masters, or you will hate the deliverance worker and love the preachers and teachers who are a significant yet hidden cause of your captivity.

The purpose of deliverance is to gain freedom from any hindrances in your life that would keep you from walking in the fullness of God’s plan for your life and your relationship with Him. Remarkably to some, it is often habitual religiosity that is the most difficult stronghold to overcome, even stronger than an addiction to alcohol or drugs because religion and “going to church” is culturally engrained and is therefore considered “the right thing to do.” It takes much time and patience to free captives from religion or a deceptive form of spirituality–a form of godliness that denies the power thereof.



A Deliverance Classic by Pam Sheppard

The bottomline is that I cannot work with a “religious captive” who continues to go to church, feed from the tables of either deceived or false prophets, and who is praying to a fake god. Therefore I mandate that while involved in deliverance counseling or mentoring with Sheppard’s Counseling Center, the captive must cease and desist from all religious activity. Old things must pass away so that all things can become new.

An Excerpt from “Faces of the Religious Demon.”

“When considering the demon referred to by the field of deliverance ministry as ‘Jezebel,’ we generally think of a female seductress and therefore sexual images are foremost in our minds. It is true that where idolatrous religions are concerned, sex, lust and worship are intricately intertwined. But make no mistake. The distinguishing characteristic of Jezebel, is that she is religious. Jezebel is the religious face of the spirit of the Anti-Christ, an overwhelming narcissistic prides that has an arrogant self-image of perfection. Mainly caused by a refusal to accept their own imperfections, the pride of this particular face or facet of the religious demon is the denial of a sinful nature. For built into the soul of such a one is a strength of will that hinders a captive so afflicted, to be able to submit to the will of God. Consequently, such captive find it extremely difficult to repent.”

Seducing Spirits – Do they REALLY exist in the Church? Pt. 1

YES, THEY DO!

What is a seducing spirit?

When we hear the word ‘seduce,’ we think of soap operas where a man seduces a woman into the bed. Or vice versa. We always think of it in a sensual way.

That is part of what a seducing spirit really is.

1 Timothy 4:1

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils..

The Greek word for seduce used in this verse is ‘planos,’ which means ‘misleading, leading into error, imposter, corrupter, deceiver’

The whole essence of seduction is that it is done through the five senses. We can be seduced by what we 1) SEE, what we 2) HEAR, what we 3) TOUCH, what we 4) TASTE, and what we 5) SMELL.

The lie and the deception that man is tempted with always is done in the realm of our senses. In our soulish realms.

The question is…can seducing spirits exist IN THE CHURCH?

You better believe it!

How?

Because today, Christianity has become-for the most part-very sensual. Any attempt to access the spirit is done by way of our senses, and when this occurs, we open up ourselves to the demonic instead of the divine.

And the spirit that seduces (or ministers) to many in the church is solely RELIGIOUS in nature!

Don’t believe me?

How many people do you know go to a church because of the music ministry? A slamming music ministry appeals to the NATURAL sense of HEARING.

How many people do you know go to a ‘seeker-friendly’ church? One where they are made to FEEL right at home? A ‘feel good’ church appeals to the NATURAL sense of TOUCHING/FEELING. (if only a touching in a ‘psuedo-spiritual’ sense)

How many of you know someone who has said to you ‘I gotta go to a church that is clean, or where the interior is designed just right…’ or ‘When I go to church, it must look like THIS or THAT…’? Appeals to the NATURAL sense of SEEING.

Let’s face it. Most of the people who go to church go to their church for carnal, fleshly, soulish, sensual reasons.

The religious demons KNOW THIS, so that’s how they mimic a move of God, a touch of God, a word from God and package it so that it comes to you through ONE of the FIVE senses that appeals to FLESH.

And once the bait is bitten, YOU HAVE BEEN SEDUCED!!!!!!

The church has little knowledge when it comes to understanding demonic seduction by religious demons. Religious demons are in full control of the organized church. These seducing spirits have imbedded themselves into the very walls and pulpits of the organized church. Seducing spirits live in the organized church, inside their human hosts, and they are quite comfortable there.

No church is exempt!

These seducing spirits, in the form of the religious demon, will not budge and members have quite happily invited them in.

How?

The demand has been for a church that appeals to man’s senses. And all this is-the whole matter of religious demons seeped into the very foundations of these monuments and idols we call churches-is THE DEVIL giving man what they desire, what they demand more of.

Seducing spirits, in the form of religious demons, have taken up office in the organized church.

Religious demons crept into the organized church and every last person, down to the preacher, was just plain unaware, thinking all the time what they are experiencing is a move of God.

The organized church doesn’t want to know a thing about seducing spirits. They show no interest, and couldn’t give a hoot about a seducing spirit takeover in the form of the religious demon. Why? Because they themselves are now hosting religious demons within themselves.

What does a seducing spirit in the form of the religious demon do, how do we define their brand of demonic seduction?

Slain: people who have been slain, dead, killed.

We all have heard the phrase ‘slain in the spirit.’ A preacher lays hands on someone-or sometimes not-and then the people fall to the ground, out in somewhat of a ‘trance,’ supposedly by way of the Holy Ghost.

While ‘slain in the spirit,’ it is said that the people in a trance are hearing from God…that God is delivering that person from afflictions or bondages of all kinds. So this practice has been accepted, along with all its various forms.

The word ‘trance’ is not used often in the Bible, a total of 5 times. The last time is in the Book of Acts 22:17, when God instructed the Apostle Paul to leave Jerusalem.

The Greek word for trance used here is ‘ekstasis,’ which means ‘a throwing of the mind out of its normal state, alienation of mind, whether such as makes a lunatic or that of a man who by some sudden emotion is transported as it were out of himself, so that in this rapt condition, although he is awake, his mind is drawn off from all surrounding objects and wholly fixed on things divine that he sees nothing but the forms and images lying within, and thinks that he perceives with his bodily eyes and ears realities shown him by God; amazement, the state of one who, either owing to the importance or the novelty of an event, is thrown into a state of blended fear and wonderment.’

The word ‘ekstasis’ is where we get the word ‘Ecstasy’ today.

As we all know, the drug Ecstasy. Ecstasy is a drug that elevates the mood. It is used at parties called ‘raves’ where kids take it so that they can party for up to two to three days. Users of the drug say that it produces profoundly positive feelings, empathy for others, elimination of anxiety, and extreme relaxation.

Or in other words, they are placed in a trance, that is self-induced.

In the Christian world, these trance-like states are said to be moments of prayer and meditation, probably based upon the cases in the Bible where people were in trances. People have reported receiving messages and special revelations ‘from God’ while under these ‘self-induced’ trances. But I would like to point out that in every case where Balaam, Paul, and Peter were in a trance, the Bible says they were either praying and/or fell into a trance.

The instances in the Word where they were in a trance, in the Old Testament, the Word says that Balaam ‘fell’ into a trance. In the instances of Peter and Paul, the Word says they were in prayer before being in a trance.

In both instances, in the Old and New Testament, the trances were brought on by the WILL OF GOD. They were NOT self-induced trances brought on by the will of man.

It is safe to say that the ‘slain in the spirit’ movement is a movement self-induced by the hands and will of man.

They are man’s yet another attempt to get close to and in communion with God, instead of trusting and relying upon THE HOLY GHOST to give the unction and initiate it.

Whenever we step into the realm of trying to ‘make something happen’-even if it’s get in communion with God, or to hear from God-we fall into the arena of error and deception that the enemy can EASILY imitate.

The instances of being in a trance (in the Bible) that were induced by the hand of God are OF GOD.

The instances of being in a trance (in the modern day churches today) where someone in ‘slain in the spirit’ are-for the most part-NOT OF GOD.

How can I say that?

Because anything that is not initiated in the genuine SPIRIT OF GOD BY THE WILL OF GOD is of the devil.

People who are ‘slain in the spirit’ are always done so by the motion of someone’s hands or by the direct laying on of hands. Nowhere in the Bible do we ever see an account where someone is ‘slain in the spirit.’

And when you have people open up themselves to the things that are (seemingly) of the spirit that is induced by the hands of men, those people are opening up themselves to the demonic realm.

Tell me: why would someone knowingly open up themselves to something ungodly and demonic-yet they say they are ‘seeking after God’ or ‘wanting to hear a word from God?’

Most of the time, most people who allow themselves to be ‘slain in the spirit’ do so ignorantly, not knowing what they are allowing into their spirits. I can tell you…having been saved over 20 years-and actively in ministry for over 5-I have seen plenty of cases where some were slain in the spirit. I MYSELF have been ‘slain in the spirit.’ And in just about every case, either myself or the others who I knew who had hands laid on them and they were ‘slain in the spirit’ got up off the floor WORSE OFF then what they were before!

If you want to know the benefits of something (in the Spirit), you have to take time to examine the FRUIT OF IT. And fruit does not just automatically pop up out of the ground or on the tree. Even Jesus gave the fig tree ample time to bear fruit (the average life expectancy of the fig tree is hundreds of years) in Matthew 21 before He decreed it to wither up and die due to fruitlessness. So it takes time to wait, watch and see if the fruit of various things that we have allowed in the Body of Christ will be good or bad.

If no fruit is yielded-or bad fruit is borne out of it-then clearly that means it was NOT OF GOD.

And whatever is not of God eventually leads to death. So it is with being ‘slain in the Spirit.’

In Pam Sheppard’s book, “Come Out of Her, God’s People,” Pam mentions that there is a specific agenda of the enemy to get masses of people in trances, as well as goes into detail as to why that is so.

In ‘Slain in the Spirit, Part 1,’ I went into detail of what happens when one is slain in the spirit and how it lines up-or does not line up-with the scripture.

We talked about how one is actually in a ‘trance’ when slain in the Spirit and can open themselves to the demonic.

The following is an article written by Pam Sheppard that further explains WHY the ENEMY is wanting more and more people to take part of this ‘slain in the spirit’ phenomena.

THE ALTERED STATE IS A HYPNOTIC TRANCE

Among my faithful Facebook friends is a cadre of serious believers who continually share YouTube video clips, blogtalkradio programs, and various articles that dramatically portray how the enemy has infiltrated the Christian community with a variety of occult, even blasphemous doctrines and practices. To name but a few, the list is long: the Joel’s Army movement is at the top of the list because it encompasses It ALL!!

Then there is yoga, the kundalini spirit, TM, people running around the church looking like they are literally on fire, alien encounters, astral travel, slain in the spirit, the laughter and dancing movements, (I refuse to call them ‘holy’), tongue prayer languages,—the list seems almost endless. In fact, even charismatic sermonizing has caused people to become hysterical, breaking loose in church aisles, appearing to have lost their minds.

Yet, there are even stranger things going on that are a lot less public. As an example, in my Christian telephone counseling practice of 10 years, I have come in contact with Christians from around the world who are constantly “hearing voices” yet they are not mentally ill. In 10 years, I have been in contact with lots of churchgoers. Among them are people who thought that they were saved, but after careful consideration, they ultimately admitted that they were not—yet—they had spoken in tongues and had often submitted themselves to falling slain in the spirit in various charismatic churches.

Ministers laid hands on many of them to receive what is colloquially known as “an impartation.” When they began to be tormented in one way or the other, most of them sought help from deliverance ministries, yet their condition worsened. In fact, 75% of my Christian client contacts were hearing voices when they telephoned me for help—all of them were active and faithful church members. Some of them I could help, some of them, I could not, for one reason or another.

One thing that all of these strange happenings have in common is the altered state of consciousness, better known as “the trance.” With that ONE common denominator, I decided to “investigate” by examining a plethora of occult websites, to see what devils and demons were openly revealing to their faithful followers. In other words, “I spied out the land.” I figured that even though Satan and his troops lie to their followers, they might reveal something to them that they persevere to hide from true followers of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Believe me, it was a disgusting and dangerous assignment , so I do not recommend others do what I did. The blasphemy against the Lord is horrendous and those who are weak in faith might be victimized, even indoctrinated.

As a result of a year’s work, I believe that I have uncovered Satan’s overall agenda which ties into why the altered state of consciousness—the trance– plays such a pivotal role in bringing about what the Anti-Christ intends to do. I have written about this subject in 4 of my 6 books: Faces of the Religious Demon, the Fake Jesus, Come Out of Her God’s People, and the New Idolatry. However, if you are not into Christian non-fiction, then here it is in a nutshell:

The devils and demons have told their followers that “the World Master” plans to introduce himself to all mankind through what appears to be telepathic communication. Therefore, these spirit entities have been feverishly working in our times to cause people to be able to enter into a trance–an ASC—so that the voice of the Anti-Christ can be heard.

With occult followers, it is an easy thing to do because they willingly put themselves into trances by meditation, yoga, chanting, channeling, astral travel, drugs, etc. With the people in the world, they enter into trances through sex, drugs, movies, etc. So the enemy had to devise ways to open doorways in Christians so that “we too will be able to hear the voice of the Anti-Christ.” Satan is seeking for mankind to lose themselves in an altered state of consciousness so as to provide an open doorway for demons to “walk in” when the time is right.

What I learned on the occult websites is that the Anti-Christ is going to attempt to pull a global stunt where EVERYONE hears the voice of a stranger, saying the exact same thing at the exact same time. In this way, the son of perdition intends to prove “that he is God” because he will appear to be both omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent–manifesting the qualities of God Almighty. However, the only ones who will be able to hear his voice, will be those who have been opened to “the trance.”

I was once, one of those people. In the 70′s, I was a psychic medium. An opened door to it ALL OF IT. Once I got saved on March 29,1977, all occult doorways were shut down. However, in 1982, I reopened them by heeding to the doctrines and the practices of the charismatic movement. For 25 years, I heard from religious demons, mostly in dreams and sometimes audibly, believing that I was hearing from the Holy Ghost. When the Lord opened my blind eyes to the truth, I shut down ALL of it: tongues, slain in the spirit, the laughter, the travail in the spirit—I MEAN ALL OF IT. I put up a spiritual blockade over my mind at night, that protects me from remembering what demons try to tell me in dreams. When God speaks to me now, I don’t feel ANYTHING. I simply “know things.” After a day or so I realize, “Oh, the Holy Ghost was here. Imagine that!”

Fallen angels stand by, patiently watching and waiting for their churchgoing prey to allow themselves to be induced into an altered state of consciousness by “any means necessary.” One they spot an opening, the religious angels seize the opportunity. The most classic example is that of Alice Bailey, the infamous founder of present day occultism. A churchgoing woman, Bailey is actually the founder of what is known today as “the occult.” Most startling is that Alice Bailey began as a Sunday School Teacher in a Presbyterian church (see how this former Sunday School teacher helped to promote the introduction to the New World Order).

DID “THUS SAITH THE LORD?”

A python spirit is a spirit of divination as portrayed in Acts 16:16, the woman who foretold who the Apostles were. Even though she told the truth, Paul cast that demon from her. He was grieved,

Only the Holy Ghost knows how many in Christendom who claim to be prophets by declaring , “thus saith the Lord,” or “God told me,” or “I was led in the spirit”—are really the messengers of Satan sent to control your life in God by the python spirit. Today, in the 21st century, churches are filled with soothsayers and charismatic hype masters whose message from the pulpit is merely a gratification of the flesh. There is a seductive spirit of divination sweeping across churches of all persuasions, seeking to control the lives of the un-suspecting. Laity leaders serve as divination foot-soldiers,forearmed “with a word” to maintain the power and authority of those in the pulpits. Demons help out also as they whisper into congregant’s ears, “give a $1000 dollars.”

I can recall that one of my associates, Minister Kellie, completely delivered depression in record time by the power of God, was approached by a member of her former church. Although Kellie’s progress is quite remarkable, the former church member approached her with a “thus saith the Lord.” “I had a vision of you and I saw you have a python snake attached to your spirit. Are you okay? Since you left the church, we’ve all had concerns about you. We’ve all been praying for your return to the fold.”

In one of our mentoring telephone conversations, Kellie casually mentioned this but I could tell that she was shaken by it. I yelled through the telephone “NO! STOP. THAT WORD CAME FROM THE HEART OF A DEMON ASSIGNED TO STEAL YOUR RECOVERY FROM YOU! DO NOT RECEIVE IT!!!!”

Certainly, professing Christians without knowledge may seem to have good intentions.Yet, when you find yourself in bondage to what they claim God has said about you to them, what does it matter whether they had either good or bad intentions??? The results are the same.Your spirit has been penetrated and the enemy has successfully planted his desires into YOUR spirit to cause you confusion and ultimate harm!!!!

Take it from someone who knows. I am well insulated by God from face to face contact with people who allow demons to use them as messengers of Satan to control my life . I have even learned how to block out my dreams. So when the enemy cannot “reach me,” he’ll make a phone call, send a Facebook message or send an email.

Now I know that’s right!

I have personally received “thus saith the Lords” in emails and over the telephone on quite a few occasions. Now when I personally receive “a word” about someone else, I have learned to “keep my mouth shut.” Control freaks can’t do this. They are under too much compulsion to blurt out knowledge obtained by supernatural means to prove that “they are anointed of God.”

Here is how divination works. The enemy has difficulty “putting a spell on you” unless he first informs YOU about it. Then he will use your self-induced anxieties, doubts and fears to bring his plans about in YOUR life. In other words, devils and demons are skilled at making YOU your own worst enemy. You see, it is easier “do what they do,” with your cooperation and consent. In order to control our lives, the enemy has to “plant his desires” into our spirits.

Recently,someone sent me a message. He had a vision that witches were trying to bring harm on me because of my website and that they were attempting to put a spell on me. I didn’t scold him. Wouldn’t make any sense cause the damage was already done. Coincidence or not, at that very moment,I was involved in a situation with someone who had “witchcraft in her background.” So of course, my eyebrow was raised but I didn’t panic. I was just extra careful and observant.

The thing to do is to “watch and pray.”

Keep your mouth shut until the crisis, if there is one, has passed. Don’t let the enemy use YOU to plant fear into someone who you care about.Pray and rest in God. If God showed him that someone was praying against me, then the Holy Ghost was calling him to pray. Fallen angels are extremely skilled at using friends, the people even of your own household, to speak evil into your life. So wisdom is certainly necessary. I learned the hard way to “be slow to speak.”

Therefore, when someone comes to you with a “thus saith the Lord” and it does not compute with you, you must become verbally aggressive.I do it regularly. People may think that I am crazy but I am quick to get animated and boldly declare, “no. I rebuke that. I don’t receive that.”

Sometimes I get worst and like the Lord, I’ll speak directly to that demon and say “get thee behind me.” I don’t care what people think. It is too important that I guard my spirit.

Rather than deal openly with the issues of infidelity, sin and spousal abuse, Charismatics are infamous for seeking “the supernatural solution.” (page 16)

Sexual Sin Is An End Time Sign

The Sex-Witchcraft Connection began in the days of Noah and it is an end time sign NOW!

How did it all begin? The answer can be found in the book of Enoch: the rise of witchcraft. Fallen angels of Noah’s day taught their human wives curious arts. In other words, the fallen angels of Noah’s day birthed witchcraft with the human women they were having sex with, and from whom they conceived children, called the giants or the Nephilim. According to this ancient book, mankind’s involvement with witchcraft and other aspects of occultism fell under the direction of Semjaza, Armaros, Baraqijal, Kokabel, Ezeqell, Agragiel, Shamsiel and Sriel. Here is a quote from Enoch ch8:2

And there was great impiety, they turned away from God, and committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semajaza taught the casting of spells and release from spells, Baarqijal taught astrology, Kokabel taught the constellations and portents, Ezeqeel the knowledge of clouds, Araqiel the signs of the earth, Shamsiel the signs of the sun and Sriel the course of the moon. And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven.

Generally, we associate witchcraft with Africa, Haiti, Louisiana, predominately among people of color. Nevertheless, witchcraft also thrive for centuries in Western Europe, as early as the 12th century. Back then, anyone who had sex with a demon was considered a witch in the 12th century and beyond.

Consequently, illicit sex is central to the definition of witchcraft itself, particularly sex with demons. The Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth warned that the last days would be “like the days of Noah.” People of today don’t necessarily realize it but when they go off into their sexual perversions, they are having sex with demons and are actually practicing witchcraft.

The bible says that rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft—that when we fornicate, we are sinning against our own bodies. When people have oral and

anal sex, they are making an invitation to demons who then open up demonic doorways which the occult world calls chakras. Those who practice sexual immorality and perversion have opened themselves to demons through the demonic doorways in the mouth and throat, the sexual orifices and their anus.

Here is a classic example of the sex-witchcraft connection. I received a telephone call from a woman who was seeking prayer whom I will call “Diana.” Diana stated that she wanted me to pray against a demon that occupied her home. The pressure was on. It was tormenting her. My first question to her was “are you in sexual sin?” It turns out that Diana had been fornicating with another woman’s husband. Diana believed that this outraged wife hired a voodoo worker, who in turn, put a spell upon her. This kind of thing is a common end time sign. Repent of the illicit sex, and very often, the witchcraft demon will depart.

GOD RESISTS THE PROUD

“Faces of the Religious Demon”

: “The devil’s deception was broken in my life because I am quick to admit to error and I am not a people pleaser.”

Facebook is a place where everyone wants to teach and be heard and few want their followers to know that they don’t know very much. Rebellion and belligerence is very apparent in their various posts which portrays a rebellious spirit. Since rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, many Facebook teachers are in the hands of the enemy and God has turned some of them over to strong delusion.

There are some teachers on fb that have actually put people in bondage with their teachings. I won’t call any names but the truth is that their pride keeps them from being teachable. The enemy loves pride because deception is made easy when we think more highly of ourselves then we ought to think. I am not an advocate of the world’s self-esteem teaching that has been adopted by the religious world. Self esteem as defined by the world is when the world has high regards for you. You are accepted, found to be worthy and considered competent. In other words, worldly self-esteem is rooted in what others think of you. And for this reason, those who seek worldly favor will compromise to obtain and sustain the world’s approval. Christians of this persuasion find that they are always trying to fit in and in so doing, they disobey the Lord’s will to please others.

I have purposed and established in my heart that my self-esteem is found in Jesus Christ. The Lord is the only one I need to please because I love truth. When the motives of the heart are not pure, truth will be hidden. To be pure is to be clear, articulate, unclouded understanding. Not confused, covered up or clandestine. When something is not pure, it is defiled. To defile is to contaminate or to pollute. When the heart is not pure, then Satan’s job is easy because defilement has come from within US, usually because of pride. For pride begins with what we say in our hearts and what we believe in our minds. Jesus linked pride to adulteries, fornication, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy and foolishness. (Mark 7:20-22) A proud mind is not pure because it thinks, feels and behaves in ways that suggest that we think too highly of ourselves.

Pride, self-esteem and vanity deny and conceal the truth. These 3 traits will pull you away from the Lord’s will by quenching and grieving the Holy Spirit and your spirit will become blocked from God’s revelation about what is to come. Pride is also PHONY. Nothing real about it because it puts forth a facade or an act. Pride will cause you to deny your feelings, and pretend so much that you even fool yourself. But the devil is not fooled. He knows when you are “fronted” before him in your effort to appear to be in control, putting forth that lie when you routinely boast that you are blessed by God. As you over compensate, pride will prevent you from admitting that you need help and therefore the enemy can use your pride to block you from crucial resources.

The proud religious person must ALWAYS appear to be knowledgeable and therefore he or she will never admit to not knowing or understanding a verse of scripture, because they are concerned that others will think them stupid and so they will even lie to cover up their ignorance or their weakness as they hide the truth to protect their religious image. Such people are already in the hands of a religious demon [The Faces of a Religious Demon]. Pride goeth before a fall!

A proud person is not wise either. They make stupid, even costly mistakes. As vanity is excessive pride, a vain person’s conceit will bring sure destruction for self-deception is an open doorway to failure. Proud people :

are outraged when others they that they are superior to them
are defensive, always justifying themselves
are critical in their efforts to tear down others to build themselves up
will hunger for prestige by seeking praise and approval from others
adopt the ways of those they are trying to please.
make EVERYTHING personal.
will live in the past and hunger for “the good old days.”

To the proud I declare that the world did not create you. The world did not redeem you. When you justify yourself before men, you establish them as your lord with authority and you enable the enemy to deceive you. Remember. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
