By Pastor Pam Sheppard

I believe that it was the traditional congregation’s invitation, of “opening the doors of the church,” that  ushered in  countless demons into the visible church system.  The founding fathers of Methodism  instituted a superior practice of placing those who seek to escape the wrath that is to come  on a probationary  membership status. The founding fathers of Methodism were wise enough to not only create a procedure to  ensure a bona fide salvation but also to protect the body from fellowship with unbelievers.  However, over time, the full enforcement of this practice became ineffective, as people were brought into permanent church status without having manifested fruits of salvation.  I personally believe that when converts can demonstrate that they are truly disciples of the Lord, then we can fellowship with them as brethren, and not before.

Yet another open door to the religious demon is the coined spiritual phrases.  A  Christian idiom most frequently expressed is  “the Lord led me.”  In a book called “Unholy Devotion,” the author aptly warns of the danger of spiritualizing:

“At first glance the phrase sounds quite spiritual, but a close examination of Scripture reveals that it is not always biblical. On several occasions the phrase is used by or to describe false prophets or deceptive people. Jacob deceived his father by spiritualizing issues. Esau, Jacob’s brother, had just gone hunting. Too quickly, it seemed, Jacob, claiming to be Esau, brought the killed game to his father. “How did you find game so quickly?” Isaac asked. Having usurped Esau’s place, Jacob lied to his sick, blind father. But notice Jacob’s very ‘spiritual’ response: ‘The Lord your God gave me success.” (Gen27:20) Jacob was playing dangerous games, spiritualizing in order to manipulate someone he knew would believe such words. Jacob wasn’t a false cult leader or prophet; he was God’s own chosen servant”.

“Christians often think that the seeds of heresy are found only in cults and in off-beat sects of Christianity. But John, in his first letter, and Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, reminded us that heretical teachers are often found within the church itself. Jesus notes that the dormant seeds of heresy can be buried in the lawns of the church. In Matthew 13, Jesus tells a parable of the kingdom of heaven: The enemy sowed sees within this kingdom. In our desire to discover and understand the doctrines of cults, we may forget that potential gardens of heresy lie within our own walls. Remember: Sun Myung Moon was raised a Presbyterian; David Berg, founder of the Children of God, was once an Evangelical pastor; Jim Jones pastored a Christian church; many leaders in the People’s Temple and Jonestown were former members of Nazarene, Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist and Assemblies of God Churches.” 1 (HL Bussell, pg.111)

Besides the altar call, the invitation to Christian discipleship, and the various professions of faith, there are  other  coined religious platitudes and phrases like “Jesus, come into my heart” and “I accepted Jesus into my life”  that  lead to  counterfeit births.   I myself have not been able to find any scriptures in the bible that suggest that we should ask Jesus to come into our hearts.   I believe that when the Lord says that we must abide in Him, He means that we must stay in Him without wavering, in other words,—- to continue, to dwell, to be present, to remain. This is the essence of the Greek word,  that was translated “abide” in John 15.  Accordingly, baring fruit in Christ is a manifestation of a believer continuing and remaining in Him.

Yet Satan’s plot against the organized church  actually took shape  under the ministry of a preacher called Charles Finney.

Charles Finney

Finney was quite a wicked looking man, as you can see the devil all up in his face. The man lived a long time when you consider that in his lifetime, the average live span was  from the late forties to about 65.  Finney lived tobe 83, from 1792-1875. A fiery New York preacher, Finney’s impact on church traditions and practices has been  so profound, that his influence is still spreading globally almost two centuries later.  Finney’s notoriety is that he is the one who brought the entire church the “make a decision for Christ” through repeating the sinners prayer and the altar call.  A practicing freemason for 8 years, Finney eventually disavowed if.  Yet what I have learned about freemasonry is that it is witchcraft. And you just  don’t walk away from witchcraft without a struggle.

Anyway, in a nutshell,  Finney believed that human beings were capable of choosing whether they would be corrupt by nature or redeemed, referring to original sin as an “anti-scriptural and nonsensical dogma”  In clear terms, Finney denied the notion that human beings possess a sinful nature. Therefore, if Adam leads us into sin,  he does so not by our inheriting his guilt and corruption, but by our  following his poor example, this leads logically to the view of Christ as not having died for sins but for some lofty, moralistic reason.

Well, this was the man who started the altar call, invitation to Christian discipleship, “I accept Jesus,” practice that has led to the greatest falling away—the one that Paul himself predicted would transpire.  Consequently, due to Charles Finney, souls have probably not been saved within the organized church system for at least 150 years!!!! This doctrine has  primarily affected the Protestants much  more than the Catholics. Another fallen angel, Mother Mary had a different strategy for THEM. The “make a decision, I accept Jesus gospel has so permeated all Protestant Church tradition, a problem that Baptist preacher Paul Washer is diligently trying to correct, to no avail.  Washer is correct on this score but there  are errors in his teaching as well, which is yet “another story.”  Another practice that Finney started was to use the preacher’s invitation at the end of a sermon to evoke an emotional response, in other words to create a charged up atmosphere to manipulate a false conversion.

Psychic Predictions or Divine Prophecy? By Minister Kellie

fortune teller, spiritual discernment, telling the future

Psychic predictions or anointing from God? Fortune teller or prophet? If you hold the title of prophet, you might just be under demonic deception. Here’s why: the devil can find out information too. A fortune-teller had a field day with Apostle Paul in scripture. She ran around announcing who Paul was. Apostle Paul cast a demon out from this woman. What we fail to understand, or bother to take note of, is the fact that devils, fallen angels and demons also have information.
That’s why, if you do go to a fortune-teller they can give you bits of information. If you’ve paid attention to Pam’s teachings, you will note that she expounds on this topic.
I’ll tell you a little story. When I was new in the word of faith church, a so-called prophet used to follow me around with a word. In fact, after every service, this fella’ was doing a side-show. He would start-up the madness during fellowship. Seemed he found a new target in me. One day I just had to politely tell him to stop it. I didn’t know much then, but I knew this guy was out-of-order. Here’s the kicker: members would even ask him if he had a word for them.
Now you tell me, was this fella’ a fortune-teller or a prophet? I say he was a fortune-teller, because he would conjure up a so-called word from the Lord at the drop of a hat. Plus, as you know from Pam’s counterfeit birth teachings, many in the organized church are unsaved. You yourself know that the wheat and the tares will grow together.  You know this from scripture.
Prophet? The word ” prophet ” is not just a Christian word. The definition of prophet is one who foretells the future. As well as one who delivers divine messages. We forget that the worlds definition of divine includes the devil. Some worship the devil. Fortune tellers and witches worship the devil, whether they know it or admit it.

The organized church has absolutely no idea of how to deal with demonic affliction. Consider this: I suffered from depression, a demonic spirit, for years. The organized church promoted worldly counseling. Really? Yes they did. We can’t counsel or talk demons away, they must be cast out. I came to my senses and decided to follow Christ’s directives. Pam cast  the spirit of depression from me and I have not been depressed not one day in 2 years.. But it took years of me mucking about with the church. I knew I had to leave, what kind of church can’t deal with demons? The answer is: the organized church, every last one of them.

I want to give you now, an excerpt from Pam Sheppard’s textbook on the religious demon, entitled ” the New Idolatry:”

In a nutshell, like New Age Mysticism, charismatic witchcraft is the practice of white magic. For the sake of comparison, consider how both a new age practitioner and a Charismatic Christian would approach a typical problem, namely, a woman seeking to stop the infidelity of her husband.
Pam then goes on to compare the fortune-teller and the Charismatic Christian. Pam  points out in detail how both the occultist and the Charismatic approach the same problem in “supernatural ways.”  In other words, there are no real differences between them.
A classic study on end of time signs, you need this important book.”

MODERN DAY PROPHETS

Are there any modern day prophets?

To answer that question–  one of the signs that we are living in the last days is the emergence of various internet watchmen. The prophets of old were watchmen. They warned God’s people about “what’s goin on” in the religious world. Some–not all–of these websites are inspired by present day prophets.

Their tools are different. All prophets SPEAK because they are compelled by God to do so. Today, the watchman’s voice is heard predominately through the written word, while others may speak out in a video. Some emphasize informing the people about specific false prophets and ministries. That is an exhaustive task that requires a 24/7 devotion, because there are so many false prophets and ministries to expose. Since these prophetic web ministries  only target high-profile people and their false practices,  they are hindered by not covering other ministries that are equally  noteworthy but only known locally.

Much falls between the cracks.

I used to be a watchman on the web exposing false prophets with a website that I have since closed down called “Beware Christian”. I had to literally DROP IT, because it devoured  too much of my time and I found it counterproductive FOR ME as an author, a counselor and a trainer of ministers.  Nevertheless, I thank God for prophetic, watchman type ministries of Midnight Cry, Straight is the Way, Deception in the Church,Equip, Paw Creek and others. I now refer seekers to them and I do “another thing.”

To really understand the mission of modern-day prophets, we need to look at the new testament. The prophet that stands out in the gospel days of the Lord’s own ministry  is John the Baptist. The Lord said that John the Baptist is the greatest of ALL prophets, so we need to look at John’s ministry rather closely. John’s prophetic ministry was essentially that he prepared the people of his day for the FIRST coming of the Lord by preaching repentance. John the Baptist did not have the gift of predicting the future as did the Apostle John. It should be noted that when Jesus called John the Baptist the greatest prophet, the Apostle John was not yet so anointed as a prophet.

However, together, I believe that  BOTH Johns are a composite template of a present day prophet. A present day prophet is one who:

  • Like the Baptist, prepares the last generations for the SECOND coming of the Lord
  • by preaching repentance.  The job is now complicated by the fact that thanks to the organized church and it easy believism, I accept Jesus into my heart, sinner’s prayer practices, so many believe that they are saved but the one who they “accepted” is the fake Jesus, Jesus Sananda Immanuel.
  • Like the Apostle, present day prophets will be given supernatural predictions that are specific to the end time survival of the elect of God.For example, when we cannot buy and sell, end time prophets will be able to multiply “the loaves and the fishes” and bring the water from the rocks as did Moses—AS THE HOLY GHOST LEADS!
  • During the reign of the Anti-Christ, end time prophets will move in the supernatural gifts of the Spirit because miracles, healings, and supernatural power will be needed in order for God’s people to survive, a power similar to that of Moses ashe brought God’s people out of the bondage of Egypt. Casting out of demons will be one of the prophet’s many supernatural giftings not according to the prophet’s will, but at the will and command of the Holy Ghost.

Spiritual discernment will be essential to distinguish between a false and a true prophet for both shall have supernatural powers. To be prepared and to learn how to try the spirits to see if they be of God, you need “the New Idolatry.”  Here is a short quote:

 e-book www.lulu.com/content/11927464
soft cover www.lulu.com/content/8761420

“Divination within the organized church community is aimed at controlling the lives and destinies of gullible people. Pulpits are filled with diviners and soothsayers—Charismatic hype masters”— that have no other message but one that caters to the flesh.  Like the occult card layers, the divination of old has progressively worsened in our time because the church community is flooded with countless pseudo-prophets as it sweeps across worldwide Christendom.  As they prophesy presumptuously in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, declaring things that the Lord has NOT spoken to them, is comparable to New Age divination.  As they boldly and confidently declare “thus saith the Lord,” fallen religious angels are leading God’s people away from the truth. (pg 35)
