One of the reasons that makes witnessing to churchgoers both difficult and unpleasant is because they have not yet heard from the Lord in a revelatory way. Most of religious believe that if your argument is not bible based, then it is not worth listening to. So, a way to get through to them is using the scriptures in red. In other words, “What did the Lord Jesus say?” Use the Lord’s own words to reveal the truth to them.
The Lord Jesus presented a group of kingdom of heaven parables, most of which He did not explain, but he left some clues. One of the clues as depicted in Matthew 13, is the birds. Therefore, when you’re keeping things very general, your focus should be to rely on what the Lord said, what the Lord shared. And you ask your religious churchgoer,” what do they think that parable means?”
Listen to what they say. You also can ask questions. First of all Ask them, “what do the birds represent?” They won’t know. So remaining focused and patient, you highlight the verse which most people know by taking him or her to the parable of the mustard seed, that grew into a large tree. Jesus interpreted the birds in the parable of the sower where He states that the birds who ate the wayside seeds were “the wicked ones” or evil spirits.
So if the birds mean one thing in that parable, they have the same meaning when used by Jesus in yet another parable.
The trunk of that tree is the Catholic church, and the branches of that tree that come out of that trunk are the plethora of Protestant denominations and non-denominations. They are the branches of that tree. there should be no argument that the tree is the system of the Institutional Church. in this context you can also clarify that the Body of Christ is not the Institutional Church where believers gather together for Sunday morning worship. So it will be relatively easy to distinguish the difference between the body of Christ and the Institutional Church. you should be able to get agreement the body of Christ consists of every born again person who ever lived, who’s living now, and who ever will live. Clearly, the body of Christ and the institution of church and religion are not the same.
Back in 1979, pictures were taken in the church that I attended. On the pictures of the pastor, you could see demons in him and on him. HE LOOKED LIKE THE TRUNK OF A TREE AND THE THREE DEMONS IN AND ON HIM HUNG FROM THE TREE LIKE BRANCHES. FROM THOSE BRANCHES, THERE WERE IMPISH FACES Hanging FROM THE BRANCHES LIKE FRUIT!!! In 1979, I did not understand how this photo was symbolic of a demonic takeover of the institutional church but today, I do. According to the Lord’s parable, “the birds” or evil spirits are permeated throughout the institution or system that we call “church.”
In a nutshell, the prophetic warning expressed by the Apostle Paul to Timothy amplifies the Lord’s parable:
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
1 Timothy 4:1-2 –
The deceiving or seducing spirits in Paul’s prophecy are the birds in the Lord’s parable.
This article will be continued in part 2. Suffice it to say in my conclusion is that It is very dangerous for churchfolk to be listening to and feeding upon doctrines of devils uttered from worldwide pulpits, as well as TV, radio and the Internet. One of those dangers is idolatry which occurs during worship when the 10 commandments are broken. For WHEN MEMBERS GO TO THE ALTAR FOR PRAYER, THEY ARE PRAYING TO THE FAKE JESUS. Idolatry produces the plagues. The following is a long scripture but the first few verses tell the tale:
“But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country. “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. “Cursed shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out. “The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me. The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess.
