Addiction & Religion Go Hand In Hand..

I know you have heard a lot of talk on religious spirits.  If you are new to church (as we know it), or if  you’ve been in church for over 40 years, this term may baffle you because you have been taught that – as the song goes ‘Religion SO sweet…’

Karl Marx-a German philosopher-said ‘Religion is the opiate of the masses…’

What are opiates?  Opiates are nothing more than strong pain relievers. Examples of pain relievers are morphine, codeine, hydrocodone, and heroin.

I remember when I was giving birth to my youngest son.  The labor was progressing so quickly that the doctors did not have time to administer an epidural, so they gave me a morphine drip.  I remember being in a dull state, awake but knowing something was going on and I needed to be fully aware of what was going on so I could proceed.

Well, as any mother who has given birth knows, when given pain relievers such as morphine and epidurals, these narcotic pain relievers can actually delay or prolong birth.  This is what happened with my son.  Yes, he was born-eventually.  But he slept for almost two days after birth due to the abundance of morphine I was given to help with the birth!

This is what religion does.

Religion dulls the senses. TRUE spiritual progression and growth is stunted by killing one’s own ability to discern what’s real and what’s not.

We all have been lulled into a semi- or fully-delusional state where we are drugged into believing something we know deep down inside ‘just isn’t right.’  We just went to church and went along with the programs to get along.  We didn’t want to rock the boat, so to speak, out of fear that we would be labeled ‘rebellious,’ ‘unfaithful,’ ‘unteachable,’ or a host of other names leadership likes to place on thinking people who were blessed with common sense AND wisdom to know game when they see it.

Yet even the most discerning, the most wise, the most street-wise of us check our brains in at the door of a church once we enter therein.  We erroneously think that we are NOT supposed to use the wisdom and common sense GOD HIMSELF has blessed us with once we walk through the doors of a church.  We erroneously believe that God does NOT deal with our minds at all.  So any inkling deep down in our guts and minds that game is being played we suppress that, thinking that it’s the devil trying to get us ‘out of the ship.’

How do we properly discern a Religious Spirit?

Well, for starters, I want to present to you that after we are born again, we should not check in our brains at the door.  EVERYTHING that God has allowed you to learn-whether it was via books and a teacher, or on the streets, or by life experience-EVERYTHING has been allowed to happen in your life so that you can LEARN A LESSON from it.  The good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful.  We have to learn to not have any regrets…even over mistakes.

Human beings are learning creatures.  From the moment we are born into the earth, until the hour we breathe our last breath, we are supposed to be in a CONSTANT state of learning, and probably re-learning, too.

If your gut tells you something ain’t right, then TRUST YOUR INSTINCT!

A religious spirit knows how to look holy, righteous.  Just by first glance, you can’t tell the difference between a holy person and a religious one.  They will look just like the woman above.

But as time goes on, and you start spending time with that person, you will start to notice inconsistencies.  Certain things just wouldn’t line up.  You will start seeing glaring imperfections and brazen outright sin in their lives…but the more those weeds in their lives manifest, the more they try to COVER IT UP with works of righteousness, more church work, more random acts of kindness to strangers, more religious works.

The more works of religion and righteousness they do, you will begin to notice that their life does not line up with the Word of God.  They will sin and not be convicted of it.  They will not respond to the conviction of the Holy Ghost of sin and justify sin, or be in outright denial about their sinful state.  And the more they do this, the more active they get in the church.  They do more ‘church work,’ hold more revivals, conferences, and convocations, preach harder, prophesy harder…all in an effort to gain their OWN righteousness, to atone for their sins on their own.  Their mindset is ‘If I stay in church enough, that will make up for my fornicating last night,’ or ‘If I do A & B, then that will make up for my dealing drugs at that school…’

The demon starts to manifest by then.  And it looks a little something like this:

By now, the church lady is cussing, drinking, smoking, lying, threatening to cut folks.  When she goes to church, she has her hands upraised.  Praising God, speaking in tongues, running around the church, preaching….the whole nine.  But when you see her in situations that require her to have patience, she has none.  This religious spirit has NO patience.  It wants what it wants, when it wants it!  They gotta preach…NOW!  They gotta prophesy….NOW!  They gotta get married…NOW!  You wanna see if someone has a religious spirit, tell them NO…or WAIT.  If they go off in a tantrum, then you got a religious spirit on your hands!

A religious spirit also is very unaware of the very real fact that they are, too, flawed individuals…with sin.  They swim in a pool of SELF-DENIAL.  They are in self-denial about EVERYTHING.  But the one thing they are in self-denial about is the state of their own selves.

A religious spirit is a potentially dangerous spirit, for there is nothing-NOTHING-a religious spirit WON’T do to protect THEIR IMAGE!  THEIR IMAGE IS EVERYTHING TO THEM!!!  They don’t believe in self-exposure or disclosure.  When they fall into sin, drastic measures are taken to COVER UP their sin.  If the religious spirit is a pastor, he/she will employ the help of the church to participate in the cover up.  They will use fear tactics and mishandle the Word of God to manipulate and control people into doing what THEY want them to do.

A religious spirit NEEDS an entourage.  They need a following.  If they dont have anyone following them, they feel useless, rejected, persecuted even.  This is when a religious spirit-that demonic spirit-will FULLY manifest….right before your eyes!

A religious spirit is a proud one.  It won’t ever admit to being wrong, or doing wrong.

When you have discerned that you are dealing with a religious spirit, the only thing to do is to get away from them.  Because until the person comes into the realization and revelation that they have something DEMONIC that’s driving them to do things in church, or do ministry, or for a good cause, there is nothing that can be done for them.  Religious spirits are SO insidious and subtle that its hard to recognize….at first glance.  It takes TIME to observe a person in all their various atmospheres to determine if they have a religious spirit or not.

In ‘Faces of a Religious Demon’ by Pam Sheppard, many faces of the religious spirit/demon are exposed.  It is one of the most thorough teachings on religious spirits that I have ever read.

How Do People Become Addicted???

Addiction has always been a mystery to me.  For as long as I can remember, I have always wondered what makes a person become addicted…whether it be to drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, or anything.

ADDICTION:  

The state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.

The fact of the matter is that anyone can become to anything at any given moment in their lives.

What I have been trying to figure out is why they become addicted.

It became necessary for me to look into and study this.  Pray about it.  And through a combination of not only study and prayer, but divine connections with those who have insight into these types of matters, I believe God has finally begun to help me to begin to unravel the mystery behind addiction (the mystery behind addiction within the ‘church’ as well).

People choose to become addicted to substances and behaviors because they are looking for a form of escapism from their reality (I touched on this on another post about the altered state of consciousness).

Everybody is looking for an escape.  An escape from busyness.  An escape from the rat race.  An escape from stress.  An escape from drama, problems, trials and tribulations.  An escape from the reality of our lives.

I called it in the last article on this ‘the Mass Trend Towards Denial.’

The fact is this tendency is massive among the population.  We as a society are more stressful now than ever before.  We are living in the last days, when things are prophesied in the Word of God to be extremely perilous (1 Timothy 3:1).

And as we draw closer and closer towards the end of times, more stress is inevitable.  At least for those who don’t know Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

And since religion has done a masterful job at getting the masses UNfamiliar with the REAL Jesus Christ and MORE familiar with the ‘another’ Jesus, it is no wonder that more and more people are seeking ways of deliverance, peace and relief from the stress and pressures of the last days.

When people keep denying truth-a love for the truth-God promises to give them over to a lie, to strong delusion.

Masses and masses of people deny truth.  Some willfully, intentionally…others unknowingly, ignorantly.  NO matter the intent, when the enemy sees the denial of truth, then he has access to the souls of man, to impart untruth, false doctrine, false teaching and lies.

So people who are looking for relief from stress and relief from (demonic) torment in their lives seek relief through alcohol, sex, gambling, …and even RELIGION.

YES…RELIGION and CHURCHANITY indeed can be addictions!

The subtleness of the enemy is to lull churchgoers into a false sense of security-to rationalize and justify their behavior by concluding that avid churchgoing is ‘the right thing to do,’  Most have been raised in church all of their lives.  They know nothing BUT church.  I mean, if you listen to the average sermon preached on a Sunday morning, you can hear the preacher talk about ‘leaving your problems at the door’ and ‘entering the sanctuary’ with praise and thanksgiving.

In other words, the preacher (who is nothing more than an enabler) is encouraging people to get in denial about what they really are dealing with and going through-even if only for a few hours-and ‘get your praise on!’

The praise and worship leaders, the altar workers, the prophets…they are all enablers, enabling churchgoers to become ‘addicted’ to attending church, churchanity and religion-with all its varied forms & products of placation, pacification and flattery.

Mega preachers are counting on the masses being ‘stressed out,’ so they pump out books, CDs, DVDs, conferences and the such supposedly centered around and promising ‘deliverance.’  Psalmists with recording contracts have replaced YOUR voice, so now in order to get into the presence of God, you GOT to go and purchase your favorite gospel artist so they can ‘usher you into the presence of God.’

And all they are doing is ushering in ‘another spirit,’ a spirit that is NOT God,  It is a fake anointing.  A fake glory.  A fake shekinah.

The Word tells us to sing TO OURSELVES in psalms and spiritual songs.  We ALL have access to the presence of God now.  No ushers are needed.  No third persons, no mediators needed…JESUS CHRIST of NAZARETH is IT!

But these ‘preachers’ profit off you needing them.  They profit off your dysfunction.  They profit off your ‘needing a word.’  They profit off your need to escape from your reality.  They are counting on it.  As a matter of fact, these leaders start getting nervous when you start growing in the things of GOD, and start hearing from God FOR YOURSELF.  They get nervous when their conference attendance and sales dwindles.  So they got to tap into another form of escapism.

They GOT to get YOU addicted to their ministry!

They are nothing more than spiritual pushers, enablers, feeding your need to escape from reality.  Feeding your need to not see what YOU NEED TO SEE.  THE TRUTH!  

I came across a really good site that talks about the enabling personality.  I encourage you to read ‘Enabling Personality’ by J. Lawson and see the shocking similarities of the enabler as presented on this site and the actions and practices of leadership in mainstream Christianity.

Demons In The Synagogues of Satan!

Could it be that demons are in the church?  Oh, we know about the people who come to church seeking deliverance.  They come to the altar or participate in private deliverance sessions in church…but they leave both no better than when they came.  Demons of addiction, pornography, perversion, depression, illness, varied forms of mental illness.

These are all obvious demons we KNOW about, KNOW they exist in the church.

But there are OTHER types of demons in the church.

They are called religious demons.

Religious demons are evil forces that mask themselves as good that will do ANYTHING to protect the institutionalized church, a ministry, a preacher, a fellowship, or any other religious-or even spiritual-entity.  Many of these are now functional cults and don’t even realize it!

I have seen demonic manifestations of the religious nature in CHURCH.  I have personally seen demonic manifestations while during a church service, one while we were still a part of the institutionalized church, the other occurred when we visited a service last year.

I have seen religious demons manifest, harass me, watch me, stare at me, and torment my children.  All while participating during so-called worship services.

My question has always been, ‘If the presence of God so permeates this place where I worship, how is it that these religious demons can have such free reign…in ‘the presence of God?’

The problem is many don’t even recognize when a religious demon is manifesting right before their eyes.  They mistake the manifestation for ‘a move of God.’  But over time, God started giving me discernment into what I really was dealing with.

I have seen religious demons manifest in the most mega of churches to house churches.

How do they manifest?

In ‘Faces of a Religious Demon,’ Pam Sheppard gets into detail on the many faces of religion.

Don’t think it is strange that this sort of thing happens today.  The Book of Revelations speaks of ‘the synagogue of Satan.’ Demons simply are dwelling where they have been categorically and openly invited to STAY.

You need to get a copy of ‘Faces of a Religious Demon’ to help you discern the religious from the godly.

It COULD be a matter of life and death…

“…when I first heard it, it was even for me…It was hard…”

Pam is speaking of when God called her OUT of the institution we call ‘the church.’

I know many would say, ‘Would God do such a thing?”  YES!

He did it for Pam.  He did it for me.  And He IS doing it for MANY…for the remnant.

God called me out of the Potter’s House in 2009.  Now, you need to understand:  I liked the PH.  I liked TD Jakes.  But when GOD calls you OUT, its time to come out.

The reason why so many find it challenging to leave the church because they always naturally assume that any voice telling them to leave their church is the devil.  We have a warped view and perception of what the church is.  We think church is the steeple, the people, and the pews.

THE INSTITUTIONALIZED CHURCH IS NOT THE CHURCH.  WE ARE THE CHURCH!

THIS is what God is talking about in the Word when it says to forsake not the assembling of OURSELVES together.  The Word is talking about US coming together in fellowship.  What many fail to realize is that fellowship does not just manifest itself in the form of putting on your Sunday’s Best, jumping in a car, and congregating with 1000s of other people on Sunday.  Fellowship CAN and DOES take place, streaming live webcast occur all the time of Internet.  Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace-all the social network sites-are fellowshipping sites.  Not necessarily religious ones, but millions fellowship online nonetheless.  Chat rooms are another form of fellowship.  They are not your traditional forms of fellowship, but the trend is leaning towards more and more people utitlizing this form of fellowship for one reason or another.

With that being said…

Since WE are the church, then WHEREVER WE GO, WE BRING ‘CHURCH” with US.  Fellowship does not have to happen in a building.

So hopefully, as people realize this, they will be more willing to embrace that voice THAT IS FROM THE LORD that is telling you to leave the church.  God’s ways truly are NOT our ways, neither are HIS thoughts our thoughts.

Taking Things Personally….

When God calls you out of the church, there will be people that will come up against you.  You MUST develop a thick skin and totally TUNE IN to the voice of GOD and TRUST IN HIS INSTRUCTIONS.

Knowing that people are people, I understand that some of you may have, in fact, become wounded by others in the church who sharply criticized you and even persecuted you because you stepped out in faith to the instruction and commandment of the Lord.

But just like when God protected and provided for the Israelites when they came out from Egyptian bondage, go on and walk it OUT!

You may not know where God has you next-if anywhere.  You may not know the next step.  But your steps TRULY are ordered BY GOD!

TRUST HIM!!!!

You Have Entered…THE CHURCH ZONE!

I don’t know if any of you ever remember the anthology series from the 50s and 60s ‘The Twilight Zone.’  They remade it again, with Forest Whitaker as the host in 2002.  TV Guide called The Twilight Zone…the ‘TV’s Best Cult Series EVER!’

Well, just as television has its ‘Best Cult Series,’ religion has its best ‘cult series’ as well.

By definition, a cult is a group of people (not just a church, by the way) that have a certain set of characteristics that single them out.  According to http://www.howcultswork.com/, a cult “trick people into joining and coerce them into staying.”

What I want to point out to you in this post is that MANY people who claim to have ‘left the church’ or who are not ‘religious’ are, in fact, still VERY RELIGIOUS.

I have noticed something that is quite disturbing:  I have noticed a trend of groups of people who do recognize the frailties, the faults and the inconsistencies of religious organizations, of churches, and they heed the call to ‘COME OUT’ of the church.  So they will leave their denomination, their church, their fellowship, their clique, their group.  Then they will start a ‘church,’ a ministry, another group or fellowship that mirrors EXACTLY to a tee what they JUST got delivered from or came out of!!!!!

For example, I have seen people leave out of holiness churches and start a ‘home’ church, then turn around and get a pulpit and put it in their house, go buy some clergywear, go get some papers (I guess to ‘look’ legitimate, whatever THAT means), and start the whole wicked, outmoded, outdated, harlot system ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!

Then when the crowds come, they go get a building.  And what they claim they were delivered FROM, they have actually NOT been delivered from…but mirror the exact same institution they came out of

I want to say this to all the people who claim they have heard from God to leave the church:

WHAT IS THE POINT OF LEAVING THE CHURCH…IF YOU ONLY GOING TO START ANOTHER CHURCH????

What I’m convinced of is that most leaders are not aware of the fact that if God called you OUT of the church, it was FOR A REASON.  And it was NOT to perpetrate the same fraud (whether its your intention or not) that was committed within the organization you came out of.

THIS is the gross error that most commit when leaving a church, feeling like they are heeding the call of God.

God will NOT call you out of an institution,  a church, an organization-showing you all of its glaring errors, mishaps and all-only to have you come out from among them, be separate…and then reproduce the SAME ERROR you came out of.

I think I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating:  RELIGIOUS DEMONS are attracted to churches.  ANYTHING that looks like a church, ACT like a church, SMELLS like a church, CONDUCTS itself like a church…you best believe YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE RELIGIOUS SPIRITS flock to your buildings.

YOU’RE STUCK IN THE CHURCH ZONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Erecting another church, or having a group of people in your home, over the phone on various conference calls, on Skype, over the Internet that looks in ANY WAY like a church is just like putting up an ad that says:  ‘RELIGIOUS SPIRITS WELCOME HERE!’

And if you’re not careful, you can become a CULT.  MANY churches have morphed into mega-cults…and mini-ones, too.

I was talking to my mentor, Pam Sheppard, about this phenomena, about why this is the case.  Why people leave the church and then turn around and start a church.  This is how the conversation went:

Pam:  “I am inclined to believe that it was the devil-A religious demon called her out to continue the SAME religious ways with a new message….Satan knows THIS message also….”

She went on to confirm something I believe the Spirit of the Lord showed me as we talked about this phenomena….

The enemy knows AND preaches the message of coming out of the ‘church,’ too.  It is a religious demon that actually mimics the voice of God and it can preach this message to a tee!  It will have you hooping and hollering, too!  But it only does that to lure out those the enemy wants to single out as having recognized it for what it is…only to annihilate them once they come out of one religious setting…and go into another!

In other words, a religious demon will mimic a word/message to sound genuine or authentic.  We all know a religious demon is a murdering spirit.  And it will do whatever it takes to kill its intended target, even preach against its own institution, other preachers, etc, to gain the trust of those who recognize (obviously and openly) religious spirits.

We all recognize religious spirits that wear only certain types of clothes, focus on outer appearance more than inward holiness.  We all recognize religious spirits that preach against fellowshipping with other types of believers.  We all recognize religious spirits that tell women they can’t preach and that they gotta wear veils and the such.

But there are MANY faces to a Religious demon.

There are other, more insidious, sneaky faces of a religious demon that I believe that MOST are simply not aware of.  This is why you should get “Faces of a Religious Demon” by Pam Sheppard.  (The enemy is trying to take out many who ARE hearing from God to come out by perpetrating that it’s not a religious spirit teaching and preaching that, when in fact, some of them ARE STILL religious, demonized by a religious spirit!)

They are imposters!

One of the lesser known traits of a religious spirit is that it WILL mimic another (authentic) message it KNOWS is gaining momentum in the TRUE EKKLESIA, in the Kingdom of God.

And it will cloak it, and package it in a religious tone, so it can be acceptable to the religious masses.

All in the guise of offering liberty and freedom from ONE religious setting, when, in actuality,  its only a ploy by the enemy to set folks up for the kill all over again by setting them into yet another religious setting-most of the time, more sinister and wicked than the one they left!!!

This is where the non-denominational ‘denomination’ came from:  they thought they were leaving religion, only to set up another religion called ‘non-denominationalism.’

But they aren’t the only ones guilty of this.  MANY who branched off and left churches to build other ministry have managed to sustain the SAME error, the SAME spirit, the SAME wickedness that they claim GOD delivered them from!

THIS HAS TO STOP!

If God is calling you out of the church – and HE IS – then realize this ONE THING.

GOD IS CALLING YOU OUT TO BE SOMETHING UNIQUE.  SOMETHING ELSE.  SOMETHING DIFFERENT.  GOD HAS A UNIQUE PLAN FOR US ALL.

First of all, let’s get some things straight.

The institutionalized church as we all know it was set up in gross error.  No, the error didn’t begin in the Book of Acts.  It began once the Roman Catholic church gained popularity and acceptance as the model in which to build ministry.

I became aware of this while having a conversation with my own mother.  She is a Catholic, and I was telling her about the Eddie Long fiasco-the whole crowning of him as king.  She hadn’t heard of the story, so I told her about it, how the four men erected Eddie in the air and they named him king, as four men carried him along like he was a god or something.

My own mother said, ‘Well, he is like the Pope.  You know, they erect the Pope like that…’  My mouth flew open as she stated that, like it was right or something!

I respectively but assertively told her that that was ERROR, for BOTH Long and the Pope to be lifted up above flesh like they are gods.  My mother is not a confrontational type, so she left it alone after that.

But I said all that to say this:  we mirrored our churches after the Roman Catholic error, even though in the 16th century, Martin Luther led the Protestant movement…supposedly OUT of the Catholic Church-because they didn’t believe the Pope should have that much authority and wanted to teach and prove the priesthood of all believers instead of a select few.

Yet in many of today’s so-called ‘Protestant’ churches, there STILL is the perpetuation of the priesthood being the select few and instead of having popes on top of the ‘Protestant pyramid,’ they now have bishops and apostles at the top.

The Protestant church of today have succeeded in perpetuating the very error they came out of within the Catholic Church!

They separate clergy from laity.  

They have the clergy wear garb that looks MUCH like what is worn in the Catholic Church.  

They still teach-in the 21st century!-that the people must come through the priests (today, it’s called the prophets) in order to hear from God.

They still have elaborate ceremonies that is supposed to prove to the people that the clergy is legitimate.

They still ‘pull rank’ within the religious institution.  (This is where the ‘apostles-on-top-teacher-on-bottom’ doctrine that is being taught now.)

They still allow the clergy to have illicit sexual behaviors, without accountability or responsibility.

THEY ARE STILL STUCK IN THE CHURCH ZONE!!!!!!!!

In order to get out of the Church Zone, one must recognize not only the error of which they are in, but be willing and courageous enough to NOT perpetuate the same error they came from once they are FREE.

THIS can take much diligence, much time in prayer, and even counsel.  Counsel by a dedicated team of ministers who are here to help those who TRULY want to be TOTALLY FREE of religion and ALL OF HER VARIED FORMS and FACES.

Now depending upon where we are in our walk with Christ Jesus, the answer may be different.  As Pamela Sheppard taught in this video, there are a lot of counterfeit births in the ‘Body of Christ.’

Now, for someone who has been newly saved, this is a question they may feel more comfortable asking themselves, than someone who claims to have been saved for 20 years or more.

But it is biblical for us all to examine ourselves and see if we be of the faith.

This admonishment was not just given to someone new in Christ.  But also to someone who’s been saved for 40 years.

I encourage you-as I encourage myself-let’s examine ourselves and see if we be of the faith.

Don’t be clouded in judgment because of how long you claim salvation, or you speak in tongues, or you have a position in the church.  It’s time we lay it all bare before the Lord…

Shirley Ceasar in the above video shares what she would want Whitney Houston’s ‘legacy’ to be.  In other words, what lesson can be learned through this all.

I found it amazing that she was as blunt as she was about Whitney marrying Bobby Brown led to her very destruction.

We need to take heed to this.

In my YouTube video, I rebuked Marvin Winans for marrying Whitney and Bobby, based upon the scripture that admonishes believers to not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.  I taped another video on YT last year about that very topic-being unequally yoked together with unbelievers.

I have been saying this more and more since then, by leading of the Holy Ghost.

When two people marry, they MUST make sure that it is GOD who is leading them to marry, and NOT a religious spirit.

Yes, religious spirits will lead people to marry.  Religious spirits will send prophets to give confirmation of a prophecy about getting married, and to whom.  Religious spirits will send spiritual experiences to mimic the Holy Ghost…in efforts to try to trap you in a marriage that is sent STRAIGHT FROM THE ENEMY.  With the intent of DESTROYING YOU!

Religious spirits-in the form of preachers, who do NOT have your best interest at heart, will marry two people, not caring about the souls or destinies of those two people they marry.

The Whitney Houston/Bobby Brown fiasco is one of the most well-known sagas of marriages gone bad.  But anyone with an inkling of Holy Ghost KNOWS that they were two UNEQUALLY yoked people.  Period.  And ANY pastor who was looking out for these two would NOT have joined them in holy matrimony.

But this is happening more and more as the church fester under judgment.

So it is no wonder that ANY marriages instituted within a place under judgment will end in judgment as well.

We not only hear of the rise of ‘christian divorces,’ but all we have to do is look at the last 5 years or so of all the scandals in christian marriages.  This is no accident, neither is it an attack from the enemy.

I REPEAT…MARRIAGES BROUGHT TOGETHER IN THE CHURCH-THAT IS UNDER JUDGMENT-ARE GOING TO BE UNDER JUDGMENT AS WELL.

That is one of the plagues of the modern day church. SET by the Hand of God.  They who are joined together BY GOD, NO man can put asunder.  If it gets put asunder, then that means GOD DIDN’T PUT IT TOGETHER IN THE 1ST PLACE!

This is a ploy of the enemy to mock the institution of marriage, that IS ordained by God.  But ONLY IN GOD.

The institution of same sex marriages, the pushing of rights for homosexuals and lesbians, and the putting together of fake, unequally yoked marriages within the organized church are devices ALL set by the enemy so that marriage would be dishonored, rather than honored.

I personally believe it is better in these last days to be alone and unmarried, than to be married today.

But if you choose to marry, I’m like Paul. Read your Word, know you’re in for a ride, stay in the Spirit, and act like you’re NOT married. (1 Corinthians 7)

Pastor Shirley Caesar shares with CBN what she would have done for Whitney if she was her pastor during her life.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda…

I posted a YT video declaring that the blood of Whitney Houston was on the hands of all the preachers who knew her in her life.  I got back some negative, some positive feedback.

But seeing this video proves the point I was making in the video to a tee.

The fact remains that many who crossed paths physically in the life of Whitney-and claimed to have known God and been born again, especially those who are in ministry-failed her.

They failed to properly administer deliverance to Whitney.  They failed toeffectively pray for Whitney.  Period.

The proof is in the pudding.

There is another video that has popped up on YT where two famous singers are on TV, which aired some six years ago.  It was a blatant show of flesh, religiosity and pomposity.

Not only Whitney’s, but also Zachary Tims’ deaths, are two cases those who call themselves active in ministry need to study, and be honest with themselves and admit.  ”We don’t have the goods…”

These two senseless deaths also brings to light the gross ineffectiveness of so-called deliverance ministries in the church system…AND the ineffectiveness of the church system in general.

Religious spirits tormented Tims and Houston, even though they hob-knobbed with ‘la creme de la creme’ of both the secular-and sadly-the church worlds.  Those religious spirits led them to do things that eventually led to their demise.

It’s too late to say ‘I woulda done this if they were mine…’

If you are currently in a church system and being tormented by demons-demons of lust, drug addiction, torment, suicide, depression, abuse, witchcraft, Jezebel-and those in ministry who are around you have consistently failed you in terms of helping you get free, don’t be ashamed.  The first step to being delivered is to first ADMIT that you NEED DELIVERANCE.

Even if you’re ‘in ministry,’ and are being tormented, you MUST come to grips of YOUR REALITY.  Not the facade or image you portray to the people from the pulpit, from the mike, traveling from conference to conference, preaching and prophesying up a storm.  Then going home and battling with addictions of all kinds, tormented by demons, can’t get free.

Look…

THIS IS NOT THE TIME to be caught up in church judgment.  THAT’S what’s going on out there.  If you’re not delivered-and you’re currently still operating in a church system, YOU ARE IN GRAVE DANGER!!!!!

I REPEAT…YOU ARE IN GRAVE DANGER!!!!!!!

It’s time to come out and be separate.  And be DELIVERED…FOR REAL!

The organized church system as it is now is currently under judgment.

When God pronounced judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah, He didn’t instruct Lot to ‘stay in Sodom, minister to them, pray for them, that they may repent.’  NO!

When God pronounced judgment, there was no changing His Mind.  And He gave clear instructions to HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE, HIS REMNANT, to COME OUT, BE SEPARATE, SO YOU WON”T PARTAKE OF HER PLAGUES.

When God sent the 10 plagues to Egypt, He made a WAY OF ESCAPE for HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE, HIS REMNANT.  He didn’t instruct Moses to ‘stay in Egypt…I planted you there as a baby and allowed you to grow up in Pharoah’s house so you could infiltrate the house and land…and cause the Egyptians to repent…’ NO!

He allowed circumstances to occur that called for Moses to LEAVE, TO COME OUT of Egypt…and also used him to be the deliverer of His people.  The blood being placed on the doorposts was a sign that when God chooses a people to come out of sin, or a place where HE has pronounced and purposed is UNDER JUDGMENT, there is NOTHING that we can do…but TAKE HEED TO THE WARNING and BE OBEDIENT to the INSTRUCTIONS OF THE LORD.

When we choose to stay somewhere where GOD has clearly instructed us to leave, then WE OURSELVES, too, are under the very judgment that that place is under.

The organized church system-with all of its celebrity ‘christians’ and preachers, and even the common christians-is UNDER THE JUDGMENT OF GOD.  What does the Word of God say?

JUDGMENT SHALL BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.

Too many people have been wounded and spiritually impaired due to not realizing this.  Everyone keeps going to a judged place and partaking of its plagues.

The above video is an R & B artist known at ‘L’il Mo.’   L’il Mo is doing praise and worship service at a church.  I ran across this video last week, and I thought to myself, ‘Wow, she is really talented.’  This video was recorded in April 2011.

She had the crowd wow’ed and everything as you just saw.

But then a few minutes after looking at that video, I saw the video below.

What a stark contrast to the first video!

This video was recorded late last year, like October 2011.

Now, most people in church would comment that Li’il Mo was ‘anointed’ and they felt ‘the anointing’ in the first video.  I felt something, too.  But it was NOT THE anointing of the Holy Ghost.

The sad part is most of the church world do not know the difference between THE anointing and AN anointing.

Most of the church is-like I stated in the title-BLIND.

L’il Mo is RELIGIOUS.  And the ENEMY has anointed her.

But most in the religious world won’t ever recognize it.  This is why flaming, out-of-the-closet homosexuals can lead congregations as a pastor or in worship.  This is why sex offenders can oversee a flock, unobstructed.  This is why drug addicts-from the pulpit to the pew-are dropping dead like flies…OD’ing like they lived in crackhouses most of their lives.

Because NO ONE recognizes the REAL anointing.

THE REAL ANOINTING DESTROYS THE YOKE OF BONDAGE.

AN ANOINTING GIVES BUZZ, A FEELING, A TINGLE…STIMULATION, BUT NO DELIVERANCE!

It is high time we know the difference.

Only is what’s being birthed, created, established, built of GOD, or of the enemy?

Just think of the movie, ‘The Omen.’

The religious spirit is the spirit of the Anti-Christ.  It’s already been loosed in the organized church.

I know you have heard a lot of talk on religious spirits.  If you are new to church (as we know it), or if  you’ve been in church for over 40 years, this term may baffle you because you have been taught that – as the song goes ‘Religion SO sweet…’

We all have been lulled into a semi- or fully-delusional state where we are drugged into believing something we know deep down inside ‘just isn’t right.’  We just went to church and went along with the programs to get along.  We didn’t want to rock the boat, so to speak, out of fear that we would be labeled ‘rebellious,’ ‘unfaithful,’ ‘unteachable,’ or a host of other names leadership likes to place on thinking people who were blessed with common sense AND wisdom to know game when they see it.

Yet even the most discerning, the most wise, the most street-wise of us check our brains in at the door of a church once we enter therein.  We erroneously think that we are NOT supposed to use the wisdom and common sense GOD HIMSELF has blessed us with once we walk through the doors of a church.  We erroneously believe that God does NOT deal with our minds at all.  So any inkling deep down in our guts and minds that game is being played we suppress that, thinking that it’s the devil trying to get us ‘out of the ship.’

How do we properly discern a Religious Spirit?

Well, for starters, I want to present to you that after we are born again, we should not check in our brains at the door.  EVERYTHING that God has allowed you to learn-whether it was via books and a teacher, or on the streets, or by life experience-EVERYTHING has been allowed to happen in your life so that you can LEARN A LESSON from it.  The good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful.  We have to learn to not have any regrets…even over mistakes.

Human beings are learning creatures.  From the moment we are born into the earth, until the hour we breathe our last breath, we are supposed to be in a CONSTANT state of learning, and probably re-learning, too.

If your gut tells you something ain’t right, then TRUST YOUR INSTINCT!

A religious spirit knows how to look holy, righteous.  Just by first glance, you can’t tell the difference between a holy person and a religious one.  They will look just like the woman above.

But as time goes on, and you start spending time with that person, you will start to notice inconsistencies.  Certain things just wouldn’t line up.  You will start seeing glaring imperfections and brazen outright sin in their lives…but the more those weeds in their lives manifest, the more they try to COVER IT UP with works of righteousness, more church work, more random acts of kindness to strangers, more religious works.

The more works of religion and righteousness they do, you will begin to notice that their life does not line up with the Word of God.  They will sin and not be convicted of it.  They will not respond to the conviction of the Holy Ghost of sin and justify sin, or be in outright denial about their sinful state.  And the more they do this, the more active they get in the church.  They do more ‘church work,’ hold more revivals, conferences, and convocations, preach harder, prophesy harder…all in an effort to gain their OWN righteousness, to atone for their sins on their own.  Their mindset is ‘If I stay in church enough, that will make up for my fornicating last night,’ or ‘If I do A & B, then that will make up for my dealing drugs at that school…’

The demon starts to manifest by then.  And it looks a little something like this:

By now, the church lady is cussing, drinking, smoking, lying, threatening to cut folks.  When she goes to church, she has her hands upraised.  Praising God, speaking in tongues, running around the church, preaching….the whole nine.  But when you see her in situations that require her to have patience, she has none.  This religious spirit has NO patience.  It wants what it wants, when it wants it!  They gotta preach…NOW!  They gotta prophesy….NOW!  They gotta get married…NOW!  You wanna see if someone has a religious spirit, tell them NO…or WAIT.  If they go off in a tantrum, then you got a religious spirit on your hands!

A religious spirit also is very unaware of the very real fact that they are, too, flawed individuals…with sin.  They swim in a pool of SELF-DENIAL.  They are in self-denial about EVERYTHING.  But the one thing they are in self-denial about is the state of their own selves.

A religious spirit is a potentially dangerous spirit, for there is nothing-NOTHING-a religious spirit WON’T do to protect THEIR IMAGE!  THEIR IMAGE IS EVERYTHING TO THEM!!!  They don’t believe in self-exposure or disclosure.  When they fall into sin, drastic measures are taken to COVER UP their sin.  If the religious spirit is a pastor, he/she will employ the help of the church to participate in the cover up.  They will use fear tactics and mishandle the Word of God to manipulate and control people into doing what THEY want them to do.

A religious spirit NEEDS an entourage.  They need a following.  If they dont have anyone following them, they feel useless, rejected, persecuted even.  This is when a religious spirit-that demonic spirit-will FULLY manifest….right before your eyes!

A religious spirit is a proud one.  It won’t ever admit to being wrong, or doing wrong.

When you have discerned that you are dealing with a religious spirit, the only thing to do is to get away from them.  Because until the person comes into the realization and revelation that they have something DEMONIC that’s driving them to do things in church, or do ministry, or for a good cause, there is nothing that can be done for them.  Religious spirits are SO insidious and subtle that its hard to recognize….at first glance.  It takes TIME to observe a person in all their various atmospheres to determine if they have a religious spirit or not.

In ’Faces of a Religious Demon’ by Pam Sheppard, many faces of the religious spirit/demon are exposed.  It is one of the most thorough teachings on religious spirits that I have ever read.

You need this teaching so that you will know the spirit of Anti-Christ when you see it!

The Lord declared that the truth shall set us free.  Therefore, spiritual freedom is my overall goal of deliverance.  For until the captive is free from religiosity, he will never experience the liberty that truth brings.  Therefore, Pam Sheppard Ministries and Sheppard Counseling Center  are geared toward helping a captive to take a stand for his own well-being and ultimate survival.  For it makes no sense that  a believer in Jesus Christ  should religiously misapply scripture like  “turning the other cheek” when the attack is actually coming from a demon who is hell-bent on destroying him.  Why should he continue to sacrifice himself for those who abuse him in the church?  Why should a disciple of Jesus have an insatiable desire to manipulate and control others with religiosity, simply because he has an unhealthy striving for recognition, position and power?  Why should a saint live with a constant fear of being submerged by others, so that he is compelled to ascend himself above them, just to survive? Why should a overcomer in Christ Jesus be a mealy-mouthed, passive person, who breaks those in his immediate environment  with his legalistic restrictions and complaints? Why must a prophet think that he must speak words into the lives of the brethren like he was a psychic, just for the sake of power and manipulation?  Therefore, where deliverance is concerned, I go the extra mile for Jesus by creating liberating conditions within a captive’s soul—a spiritual blockade to  the re-infestation by the religious demon.

     It is important to note that the creation of a flawless disciple is not within my domain.  As both a minister and  a counselor, I can only help a captive to become free by providing an opportunity for spiritual insight.  For me, perfection is to be demon free and to face truth every day.  It should be clear from every insight presented in Faces of the Religious Demon” that where religiosity is concerned, we can never exhaust spiritual warfare by a single approach.  This demon must be combated over and over again from various angles and perspectives.  It is so difficult to end this book because I see a new face everyday and I am tempted to sit down and write about it.  Every new face springs from a variety of sources and factors and thereby I have to assume new strategies.  I am committed to each and every captive that comes my way to examine his attitudes, his personality and his issues.

 

          Even though I believe that “the house is burning,”, in spite of the spiritual damage that may have occurred within an organized church, recovery in Christ is inevitable because of the words of the Lord,  No one will be able to pluck the Lord’s sheep out of His hand.  He will ALWAYS prepare a way of escape. If a way of escape cannot be found,  I personally believe that most of those who seem to have suffered irreparable damage are among those whom our Lord never knew. Among the saints, there are  also the lukewarm ones, whom the Lord shall spit out of His mouth. Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights.  God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all.  The Lord Jesus said that what is covered shall be uncovered and what is hid shall be made known.  He also said that you “shall know them by their fruit.”

 

     My personal testimony stands as a beacon of light in the midst of darkness in the church.  Darkness surrounded me on all sides but the Lord saw to it that darkness did not overcome me by smothering  my light.  Furthermore, I believe that the Father of lights has an appointed time when the false religious demon  that has mixed itself with the children of light shall be exposed in each and every situation. I believe that the appointed time for exposure is at hand today.  In Isaiah 49, the Lord speaks through the prophet and says that in an acceptable time, He has heard us and in the day of salvation, He helps us.  In an acceptable time, He heard me, and in the day of my salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ helped me by empowering me to  set many captives free.

 

     In the day of exposure, the children of darkness are stumbling everywhere, causing them to reveal themselves of their own accord.  Even though the wheat and the tare will continue to grow together until the second coming of our Lord of the Harvest, this does not mean that we will not be able to discern the tares.  There are times when the tares and the wheat are almost identical in appearance.  To break it down further, those who profess to be saved and who are not will be used by demons to hinder you.  However, if you walk in the light as Jesus is the light, you will have the victory.

 

      Yes, this is the time of exposure.  Lately, people who I have believed were truly saved have themselves looked me in the face and declared “I never believed.” From the Internet to my own community and even significant people among my family and friends–people who have professed the faith for years–are now revealing from their own hearts that they are still children of darkness. As I continue to  walk in the light, darkness backs up.   How does such a thing happen? Well, invariably some do have faith in His name, but they anchor their faith in a delusion, an illusion or an obsession, and end up believing that they are saved when they are not. 

 So this is the year of exposure. In 2012, if you have been deceived and you go before God and pray  ”Father, expose the darkness,” the Lord will do it. In this video, Pamela Sheppard breaks down the gospel in such a simplistic manner, I really do believe that a child could understand it!

I encourage you to not be afraid to examine yourself-no matter where you are in your walk with Christ Jesus-and see if you truly be in the faith.

It was the teaching on ‘Counterfeit Births’ that let me know that God was speaking and teaching through Pam.  A few months ago, on Facebook, I wrote an article on ‘Illegitimate Birthings.’  I had never heard of Pamela Sheppard or this ministry.  I had never seen or heard ANYONE teach on this.  This revelation was purely BY WAY OF THE HOLY GHOST!

We all need to take heed to what the Spirit of God is saying about births that are NOT of Him (and trust me, there are PLENTY out there!)

The FAKE Jesus….

I love this video because Pam talks about the FAKE Jesus, you know and have seen him in the churches.  He is the one whose picture is in thousands of churches across the world.

Now please understand: I am not saying this is the fake Jesus because he is white.  I know there is a faction of people out there that says Jesus is a black man.  To argue such a point is foolish and unnecessary.

You saw the video:  the enemy has a place-a seat-in most, if not all- churches today.  And part of the plan was to introduce the fake Jesus in this form.

Other parts of the agenda has been once the church had been infiltrated, to introduce false doctrines, or doctrines of devils.

In Faces of the Religious Demon, Pamela Sheppard goes into detail about how the enemy has infiltrated the church…and disguised himself in many religious masks.

Don’t be a victim of the fake Jesus!  KNOW your enemy, in all his varied forms and faces.

Preaching Folks Into Heaven…AFTER Their Dead?

Ok, if you are black and have been to a funeral in a predominantly black congregation, then you know ALL about this familiar ritual that black preachers do.

A loved one or a friend of the family passes.  The funeral arrangements are made meticulously.  Folks who couldn’t afford to pay a light bill go ALL OUT to bury loved ones (who regrettably didn’t have insurance) in style!  To preach a great homegoing service for their dearly departed!

We have the viewing, the repasse, the funeral, and the burial.  Blacks folks take like a good week to bury their loved ones.

I don’t say this mockingly; I say this because this is a tradition and a way of life (or should I rather say a way of death) for our people.

But what I want to focus on is preachers preaching EVERYONE into heaven!

This is a tradition that is traditional in the church.  Black people are said to be ‘comforted’ when the preacher gives a eulogy that portrayed the person in the casket in a glorified, glamorized, iconic, and almost divine way.  Oftentimes, the preacher automatically preaches the dead ‘into heaven,’ irregardless of how the dearly departed lived their lives, or how they left this life.

Coming up in a black Baptist church, this was commonplace and normal for me.  Even after having become a woman, I saw no problem with this tradition.  And truth be told, it did add ‘temporary’ comfort when a preacher would preach a departed loved one as ‘entering the pearly gates.’

But since having left the institutionalized church, I have had time to sit back and observe much of what we embrace as culture and tradition….

And I can BLATANTLY proclaim that this is nothing more than a form of idolatry and hypocrisy that we have perpertrated inside of the four walls of the church!

I have seen preachers preach the funerals of drug dealers-who died while selling crack to little kids-into heaven.  I have watched preachers preach flaming, openly gay, unrepentant homosexuals into heaven.  I have watched preachers preach EVERYBODY into heaven, as a matter of fact!

This scares me.

Why?

This scares me because a minister of the gospel is supposed to TELL THE TRUTH.

Now, we can get into the semantics and suppositions  of  ’we don’t know if they repented right before they got shot, or while they were on their knees giving that last blow…’ all we want.

But the fact of the matter is that when most people die, it is unexpected.  All of a sudden.  Death can happen in a millisecond.  Before anyone can say ‘God, forgi….’ they are snuffed out.  Gone.  Capeche!  There IS no time to repent.

Many don’t realize that.

So they go on living their lives like they got tomorrow…and not truly knowing if they do.

But I want to address the PREACHERS who have all this blood on their hands.  YES, THEY DO.

How?

Because when that person in that casket was living, most preachers don’t preach heaven or hell anymore.  Most preachers don’t preach on sin.  They are afraid that folks are gonna come back at ‘em with the ‘Judge not, lest ye be judged…’

LOOK.

ALL OF US ARE GOING TO BE JUDGED.  AND WE ARE GOING TO BE JUDGED BY WHAT WE DID IN THIS LIFE.

But GOD HIMSELF has appointed SOME VOICES TO JUDGE.  And TO WARN people of their wicked ways.  And don’t get it twisted…the ones who GOD is raising up and using are NOT going to be perfect and without sin themselves.

Since God has LEFT THE BUILDINGS, God is having to go into the highways and the byways.  God is raising up voices in the crackhouses.  IN the whorehouses.  IN the jails.  Compelling them to come in, NOT to church.  But into the KINGDOM OF GOD!

THE PREACHERS SHOULD BE PREACHING FOLKS INTO HEAVEN…WHILE THEY ARE YET ALIVE AND HAVE A CHANCE TO REPENT!!!

NOT WHEN THEY ARE DEAD….

PREACHERS, STOP LYING TO PEOPLE. YOU ARE NOT COMFORTING THOSE WHO MOURN BY LYING TO THE PEOPLE.  IF THAT PERSON WAS A HELLION ON EARTH, SAY SO.  THEN USE THAT LIFE TO WARN OTHERS TO COME TO CHRIST JESUS WHILE THERE IS STILL YET TIME!!!!

IT IS TIME TO REPENT!!!!!

“…when I first heard it, it was even for me…It was hard…”

Pam is speaking of when God called her OUT of the institution we call ‘the church.’

I know many would say, ‘Would God do such a thing?”  YES!

He did it for Pam.  He did it for me.  And He IS doing it for MANY…for the remnant.

God called me out of the Potter’s House in 2009.  Now, you need to understand:  I liked the PH.  I liked TD Jakes.  But when GOD calls you OUT, its time to come out.

The reason why so many find it challenging to leave the church because they always naturally assume that any voice telling them to leave their church is the devil.  We have a warped view and perception of what the church is.  We think church is the steeple, the people, and the pews.

THE INSTITUTIONALIZED CHURCH IS NOT THE CHURCH.  WE ARE THE CHURCH!

THIS is what God is talking about in the Word when it says to forsake not the assembling of OURSELVES together.  The Word is talking about US coming together in fellowship.  What many fail to realize is that fellowship does not just manifest itself in the form of putting on your Sunday’s Best, jumping in a car, and congregating with 1000s of other people on Sunday.  Fellowship CAN and DOES take place, streaming live webcast occur all the time of Internet.  Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace-all the social network sites-are fellowshipping sites.  Not necessarily religious ones, but millions fellowship online nonetheless.  Chat rooms are another form of fellowship.  They are not your traditional forms of fellowship, but the trend is leaning towards more and more people utitlizing this form of fellowship for one reason or another.

With that being said…

Since WE are the church, then WHEREVER WE GO, WE BRING ‘CHURCH” with US.  Fellowship does not have to happen in a building.

So hopefully, as people realize this, they will be more willing to embrace that voice THAT IS FROM THE LORD that is telling you to leave the church.  God’s ways truly are NOT our ways, neither are HIS thoughts our thoughts.
