By Pastor Pam Sheppard

Those whom the Lord saves who were accustomed to supernatural experiences like telekinesis, poltergeist and other magical  types of manifestations will try to explain such phenomena  with scriptures. They rationalize and continue to believe that  psychic phenomena  are  the gift of miracles.

For example, I was just born again a year or so when I spoke to a storm and it seemed that I stopped it.   It was one of those summer storms.  My clothes were drying on an outside line and I had just settled down in my backyard in a lawn chair with a cool drink when the sky got dark and the winds kicked up.  I stood up, spoke directly to the storm and commanded it to leave.  I kid you not, it rained all around my backyard, but not a drop fell where I dwelled.  The sun came back out, shined only above  me, while the entire neighborhood was flooded with rain. It was quite a deluge.  So of course, I connected this incident to the Lord speaking to a storm and what He said about speaking to mountains as my biblical “confirmation.   I look back now and I realize that this manifestation was not from God.  The motive?  To make me  into a signs and wonders, charismatic freak. The fallen angel responsible was quite successful.  It didn’t take much to turn me into granola—a fruit, a nut and a flake!

Here is the crux of the problem.  As a product of New Age occultism, Christians with psychic phenomena in their past remain ignorant of the deception of the mighty foe.  So once born again, each of us has been assigned a religious/witchcraft spirit entity whose job is to seek every opportunity to buffet us with counterfeits of the gifts of the Holy Ghost that seem to be from God..   The assigned fallen angel or demon waits for an element of the flesh  to manifest itself in the new believer, in order to gain his master’s end.  The Apostle Paul calls that aspect of our flesh by the name of witchcraft.  Like Simon the Sorcerer, we carry in our flesh a lust for the supernatural that the enemy works with. Since  occultists are trained to expect the supernatural, hidden in our flesh remains the same desire AFTER we are saved.

How did I overcome? My story is in “Come Out of Her, God’s People.”

I experienced  many dealings of the flesh—many trials, tribulations and tests.

Being put to death in the flesh goes on and on.  Overcoming was not finished in one mighty stroke.  The Holy Spirit covered all bases, first dealing  with my ambition for the 3 p’s of prestige, prominence and power.   What helped me is that even when I was a sinner,  I was  a lover of the truth.  So I became one who sought spiritual truth at all cost. Also,  as Paul was assigned a religious demon–a thorn in his flesh–to develop him, so was I.

I am a overcomer because my religious demon presented me with trials and temptations  to overcome. From 1977-2003, —26 years–the religious demon was in the driver’s seat  regarding charismatic manifestations. I was completely duped.  Yet in 2003—, once I prayed “Lord, show me the darkness that is around me,”—  all things continue to be exposed.

In every test, I had the choice of going down and being crushed by the spirit of the anti-christ  or rising up in spirit victory.  I ROSE UP!

Waiting On Signs Is Communicating with Evil Spirits

The truth to be emphasized is that God never “wills” instead of man, and whatever a man does, he is himself responsible for his actions. Religious demons major goal is to manipulate the will of a sincere and unsuspecting believer into a state of passivity in order to control us.

The believer whose “will” has become passive, finds, after a time, the greatest difficulty in making decisions of any kind, and he looks outside, and all around him for something to help him to decide the smallest matters. When he has become conscious of his passive condition, he has a painful sense of being unable to meet some of the situations of ordinary life. If spoken to, he knows he cannot will to listen till a sentence is completed; if asked to judge a matter, he knows he cannot do it; if he is required to “remember” or use his imagination, he knows he is unable to, and becomes terrified at any proposed course of action where these demands may come upon him. The tactics of the enemy now may be to drive him into situations where these demands may be made, and thus torture or embarrass him before others.

Little does the believer know that in this condition he may, unknowingly, rely upon the assistance of evil spirits, who have brought about the passivity for this very object. The faculty unused lies dormant and dead in their grip, but if used it is an occasion for them to manifest themselves through it. They are too ready to “will” instead of the man, and they will put within his reach many “supernatural” props to help him in “decision,” especially in the way of “texts” used apart from their context, and supernaturally given, which the believer, seeking so longingly to do the will of God, seizes upon, and firmly grasps as a drowning man a rope, blinded, by the apparently given Divine help, to the principle that Godnote 3 only works through the active volition of a man, and not for him in matters requiring his action.

“The only honest answer after 37 years being led by Him is to say “I do not know.”

All I can say is that he is just like how The Lord described Him. He is like the wind. You can’t really see the wind, but you see it’s effects. He is neither wild, boastful or drunk as He is displayed by charismatics. His main purpose is to exalt Christ and to conform us into the Lord’s image. He does that first by causing us to be born again. The Spirit uses a uniquely personal approach, first of all by reproving and convicting us—causing us to repent by making the cross real and personal in our lives, dropping faith into us to believe on the Lord’s resurrection. Every testimony of rebirth is different but all of the elements of His work are the same. If they are not ALL there, then the person needs to consider that he or she had a false conversion.

Once we are born again, He then teaches and guides us in ways that when we look up, we realize He was there by what he has left behind. For example, He speaks through me yet I am completely unaware of it. I noticed His work with two RESCUE members in phone sessions yesterday. With one member, I made a post, not even knowing how he would be affected. With another, I read some material a month ago that provided answers as to why she is not yet completely free in spite of all demons being cast out. How did I know what to say? How did I recall out of my memory information that I have never written about or discussed before? How was I able to ask this person questions that brought forth the information that coincided with something I read that applies to her situation?

My answer is “I don’t know. Must have been the Holy Ghost.”

Those who would suggest to you that He is an “IT” —an energy force that causes them to babble, have chills, get their teeth filled, sprinkle gold dust all over the place, fall out in a drunken, spiritual stupor, at their beck and call to do whatever they want, are in some deep trouble. Why? Because they are allowing the devil to use them to mock the Holy Ghost. Besides blasphemy, mocking Him is the worst thing in the world anybody could do.”

“Detoxing From The Supernatural” by Pam Sheppard

“My life had been supernatural since 1974.

It seems I got through life for decades without being bored due to my daily dreams and supernatural experiences. If I gave an account of a particular happening, people would have to ask me “was that a dream or did that REALLY happen? ”

Once I left the occult, the nature of the supernatural changed in the IC. I still had the dreams but while in the IC, I became hooked on what my destiny would be, well before I heard the messages of destiny preachers like TD Jakes.

So how did I detox?

It is quite simple. I just accepted the truth. Once I did, the dreams practically stopped all together.

A part of the process involves living in the here and now and not in some far off destiny. I reclaimed both my Will power and my commonsense. The word PALEEZE became a well used word in my vocabulary. I am a skeptic who walks by faith and trusts in God but I don’t expect to hear from God until He is ready to take me a step higher on my spiritual ladder. I don’t ask for anything supernatural. I leave it up to Him. What He wants me to know, He will share in due season.

it would seem that I would be bored without the supernatural to lean on. Not really. I enjoy the peace I have a lot more than the stress that comes from supernatural experiences. I actually lean more on God now than before. Sometimes you end up trusting more in a sign or a wonder than you trust in God himself. I don’t need to see Him, I don’t beg for a closer walk with Him.

I just BE!!!

After all, the biggest supernatural thing that ever happened to me, I did not seek? God just SHOWED UP!”

“I Need CONFIRMATION!” Part 1

confirmation, faith, signs and wonders, spirit of religion

Many have been found saying this very thing to themselves. Usually, they are at a crossroads, where they are trying to get an answer to prayer, or have received an answer to prayer, and want a ‘sign’ from God that what they heard was actually from HIM.

And most of the time, these people will heavily rely upon outward (supernatural) signs or ‘prophecies’ to back up what they have previously heard.

We all have been there, at that place where we heard from God, but thought we didn’t.  So we didn’t walk out the word we heard, at least not until someone ‘confirmed’ what the Lord God said to us.

For some, it took the pastor preaching on what we heard in the next sermon, or a prophet called us up to the front of the church and the prophecy ‘confirmed’ what we already had heard from God.

Or what we THOUGHT was from God…

What IS confirmation, anyways?

I found two different definitions of confirmation.  The first I was already aware of: confirmation is the act of confirming or verifying something.  It is additional proof that something that was previously believed is, in fact, true.  It authenticates a previously known truth or belief.

But did you know that a confirmation is also a rite of passage among the Catholic Church where a baptized person is given ‘full membership’ into the church?  According to http://www.catholicism.com, the confirmation 1) unites one firmly to Christ; 2) increases the gifts of the Holy Spirit; 3) renders one’s bond to the church more perfect; and 4) gives one special strength to become witnesses.

I had never heard of this ceremony within the Catholic Church.  It is usually performed by a bishop, but sometimes bishops delegate authority to priests to conduct the confirmations within their respective dioceses.

Right away, I can tell you that this ceremony reeks of religiosity.  It feeds the notion that one needs a mortal man-i.e. a priest-to stand between us and God…to speak for us.  To pray for us.  To ‘sacrifice’ for us, much like the Levitical priests did in the Old Testament.  They take on the role of the Holy Ghost and demand loyalty and commitment NOT TO GOD, but to the local church.

I liken the rite of confirmation to these ‘impartation’ services held with pentecostal, non-denominational and word of faith churches and ministries that encourage people to come to the altar and get hands laid on them so they can receive ‘an impartation,’ healing, deliverance, revelation knowledge, and the works.

I believe ALL such ceremonies and tendencies to ‘need confirmation’ are totally unnecessary, and actually hinders one in their own growth in their relationship with God.

1) You don’t need to ‘pledge allegiance’ to a church, a denomination, a man, a woman, a fellowship and the such to be deemed faithful TO GOD.  God does NOT require such religious obligation from you.  HE SIMPLY REQUIRES YOUR FAITH.  WITHOUT FAITH, IT IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD (Hebrews 11:6).

2) You cannot be a member of the church.  You ARE the church, if you are born again.

3) There is NO ceremony that magically bonds us closer to Christ Jesus.  NONE.  All ceremonies are man-made traditions that actually open you up to be tormented by demons.  Most of these ‘bishops’-in both the Catholic and Protestant realms-are doing nothing more than imparting demons into unknowing people who think they are getting closer to God by participating in them.

4) You do NOT get the Holy Ghost by natural means.  ANY group that claims you can get it by means of participating in their ‘rites’ are lying to you.  You will NOT be receiving the HOLY Ghost.  You WILL be receiving ‘another spirit.’ (2 Corinthians 11:4-6)

The need for confirmation really speaks to the lack of faith in the one seeking confirmation.  They lack faith that God will do just what He said He would do.  It could be out of immaturity.  It could be because they have not gone through enough-and watch God bring them out enough-to have developed a healthy, mature, unwavering faith and trust in God.  It could be for a whole lot of reasons.

In ‘To Curse The Root‘ by Pamela Sheppard, she further discusses people’s need for confirmation:

“…By losing all confidence in our self esteem, we will gain His esteem. We will not be tossed to and fro by pride and vanity because He will cause us to be immovable, unshakable trees that are tooted and grounded in Him. His acts of consolation will serve as a confirmation that He can be trusted in every crisis, every temptation, every trial.”

Please continue on to Part 2 to understand where this mindset of ‘I Need Confirmation’ first originated, and why it has survived the test of time…

‘I Need CONFIRMATION!’ Part 2

Antichrist, charismatic witchcraft, confirmation

In the last article, I talked about the rite of confirmation in the Catholic Church, as well as the tendency of many within the modern day Protestant church to ‘need confirmation’ or seek a sign after they have heard a word ‘from the Lord.’

Seeing that I’m a history buff, I always like to do my research and study to find out where a thing or tradition originated from, how did it get started.  It is my conviction that when we do that, we will fully understand the SPIRIT behind a thing and proceed accordingly….WITH CAUTION.

In other words, when we know WHY something was started, if the ROOT of it was GODLY or UNGODLY, then we can make an informed and wise decision to NOT follow it or participate in it if we find it started out NOT FROM GOD.

Is ‘needing confirmation,’ ‘seeking after a sign,’ of GOD?

Or is that mindset and all proceeding ceremonies and rites instituted thereafter, a result of RELIGIOUS PROGRAMMING and DECEPTION????

The very first time in the Word of God where a man actually sought a sign from the Lord was in the book of Judges. (Yes, there were times when God spoke to the Israelites with signs and wonders, delivered them by such.  But Gideon is the first account where a man asked God to ‘show him a sign.”)

We are all familiar with the story of Gideon.

The story is found in Judges 6.  The setting is starting from about Judges the first chapter, Joshua and the generation who remembered what God had done for the Israelites in the wilderness before they reached their promised land had died out.  One of the last things God commanded the Israelites to NOT do is to forget the precepts of God, to intermarry with unbelievers and to worship their gods.  Yet, after God gave them ‘their promise,’ that is EXACTLY what the Israelites did.  Read Judges 1-3 to understand just where Israel was before Gideon was born.  They were in rebellion and disobedience.  They had forgotten God and all that He had done for them.  They got the bling, the power, the fame and the very allegiance they promised God in the wilderness they gave it to other gods and allowed themselves to ‘fall in love’ with-and intermarry-with unbelievers.

In the 6th chapther of Judges, God has given the Israelites over to the Midianites.  After hearing their cries for help, God calls Gideon as their deliverer-calling him a ‘mighty man of valor’ in vs. 12. Instead of responding in faith, believing what God has said, what was Gideon’s response?

“…If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me….” vs. 17

The Lord God ‘confirms’ His Word with a supernatural sign in vs. 21.

Then Gideon LACKED FAITH and TRUST in God again, seeking TWO more signs from God in vs. 36-40, signs that God wanted him to do what He said.

Now, we often make Gideon out to be this great man of faith and valor, taking the scripture completely out of context.  What we fail to realize is that God had already chided Israel because in spite of His MANY signs, wonders and deliverance(s) to Israel, Israel STILL went awhoring after other gods, STILL walked in blatant disobedience and rebellion to the things of God and STILL worshipped other gods.

Because God is long-suffering and merciful, He granted ‘confirmations’ here.  He sent signs and wonders…to confirm His word to His people…THEN.

But NOW?

God is NO LONGER sending signs and wonders for the purpose of feeding the faith of those who profess to be believers in Him.  God has a proven track record of HIS Faithfulness to man.  He does NOT need to confirm or prove ANYTHING to us.

We simply need to take heed to HIS WORD, trust implicitly in HIM, and NOT seek after signs and confirmations.

We hear preachers preach on the 10 plagues in Egypt.  We hear preachers preach on ‘these signs shall follow them that believe…’ We hear modern day apostles taut that they are supposed to have signs and wonders following them.

Well, I present to you that those who seek after signs and wonders are WICKED and EVIL.

Matthew 16:4
A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it

The Word here actually calls this generation ‘adulterous.’  Why?  Because seeking after signs is a form of idolatry!  And God sees idolatry as spiritual adultery.  Without FAITH, it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God.  When God speaks TO US, we simply must believe it, and act it out accordingly…(of course, trying the spirit is totally different than seeking a sign. God tells us to try the spirits, yes.  But He actually grows weary of people who seek a sign…)

Mark 8:11-12

And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

It greatly displeases God when we keep asking for a sign.  Or even when we entertain ‘confirmations’ of words heard in the spirit merely by events that happen to occur, supernatural manifestations, prophecies, and the such.

Do you see where the Word says that God will NOT be giving signs to this generation?

God does not want us so caught up in signs, confirmations, miracles and the such in this hour.  We MUST understand that the enemy of our souls can perform signs, miracles and wonders, too.  The enemy can prophesy…ACCURATELY.  The enemy can raise folks from the dead, heal the sick, and the whole nine.  He got ALL kinds of tricks in his bag.  And he is waiting to pull one out JUST ON YOU, if you keep your spirit open to all kinds of confirmations…seeking a word…seeking a sign…stalking prophets and such.

That spirit of unbelief occurs in a people when they walk away from God in disobedience and rebellion to Him.  In sin, one cannot hear the voice of God.  NOT AT ALL.  So therefore, they have to rely on OTHERS to hear FOR THEM!

Whenever you find someone who cannot hear from God, who are always seeking a word, a sign, running from conference to conference, looking for that next prophetic ‘fix,’ they are in sin in some area of their lives.  SIN IS THE ONLY THING THAT SEPARATES US FROM GOD!

Another reason is that that person is IMPATIENT…which speaks to a LACK OF FAITH.

Faith requires you, at times, to WAIT ON THE LORD for an answer.  When we try to ‘make things happen’ in our own strength, in our own time, then that shows we don’t trust God the way that we should.  So we go about trying to help God out…when HE DOES NOT need our help!

One of the gravest errors of the Word of Faithers is that they believe that if they merely ‘utter the Word of God back to God,’ then He is somehow ‘obligated’ to do their bidding, whether it be money, a mate, a job, a ministry, etc.

But when God does not grant them ‘the desires of their hearts,’ then they go about seeking signs and wonders to ‘feed their faith’ in a false word.  And religious spirits LOVE to feed false words!  Religious spirits will feed one’s ‘faith’ in a word THEY believe it true ALL day, ALL year long!  By dreams, signs, wonders, prophecies, sermons, by ANYTHING they feel will keep them deluded and deceived.

Do you remember the movie, “Bruce Almighty,” in one scene after Bruce gets God’s powers, him and Grace, his girlfriend, has broken up.  He thought because he had God’s powers now that he could make Grace love him and take him back.  But he finds out he cannot.

So in an attempt to win Grace back, Bruce uses his newfound, supernatural abilities to create all kinds of signs and wonders around her that hopefully will point to her taking Bruce back.  The ‘Bruce & Grace Forever’ carved on every tree stump she passes on a morning jog.  The numerous TV commercials that play messages that encourages Grace to take Bruce back.  Their dog who gives Grace the phone and encourages her to call Bruce!

That is much how a religious spirit operates.

EVERYTHING around you will seem to point towards ‘what God said’ or ‘what God promised.’  You think, ‘I mean SURELY, if ALL of these signs are pointing towards this, this MUST be God, right?’

I know what you’re thinking: ‘But hey! In the movie, Bruce and Grace DOES get back together..’  Yes. But that was NOT because of Bruce’s supernatural manipulations and control, trying to ‘make’ Grace take him back.  It had to be her choice.  Anything other than that would have been nothing more than witchcraft…and if the reconciliation began out of witchcraft, it would only be maintained by witchcraft as well.

I go into all this to help you realize one thing.

When we ask God to show us a sign, we are actually trying to control and manipulate Him, attempting to relegate God to be nothing more than our Magician, to do our bidding whenever WE want.  Most of the time, when people seek after signs and wonders, it is out of an unhealthy desire within them for control and power.  Two very powerful yet dangerous entities when combined without the Holy Ghost to temper them both.

And people who seek ultimate power and control REALLY not only lack faith in God, but are weak, and feel powerless over their situations and circumstances.  Instead of trusting God, they trust in their control of things.  This is another form of self-righteousness that nullifies the work of the Cross AND the power of the resurrection in our lives.

And any spirit that does NOT embrace AND confess that the resurrection of Christ is legitimate is of the AntiChrist. (1 John 4:2-3)

We must also be aware that the Antichrist WILL perform signs and wonders.  This is how he will be able to get so many people to follow him. (Revelations 13:13-14)

If you are ‘addicted’ to signs, wonders and confirmations, it is time to get ‘detoxed’ from them, FOR REAL!  Continuing to seek after them can cost you your life!

I encourage those who love God to TRUST the voice of God speaking to you.  Try the spirit and see if it is of God.  ALWAYS.

HOW SATAN USES FALSE ASSUMPTIONS AND CONFIRMATION

09 Sunday Oct 2011

assumptions, confirmation, faith. spirituality. the cross, religious demons, try the spirits

Pam specializes in "Knowing the Enemy"

The enemy really designs his deception based upon his knowledge of us.  The secret desires of our hearts  and our assumptions provide religious demons with  both the blueprint and the building blocks of the grand deception that fuels  the enemy’s overall  plan.  The plan begins as a kind of conspiracy theory which answers the questions , “what makes him or her tick? And if I do THIS,  then will he or she do THAT?”  What the religious demon has to do is to find a way to “guide our steps.”  There is no greater thrill than for a religious demon to manipulate and control a child of God and cause that person to become both his prey and his captive.

So I believe that we overcome by first knowing ourselves.  When you know yourself better than the enemy knows YOU, then you are on your way to victory.  For example, if you are an achiever, your desire to succeed CAN BE a key contact point on the blueprint and the religious demon will begin to “build the plan.”

Consider the movie “the Devil’s Advocate.” An advocate is a lawyer, and Keanu Reeves, “the advocate” was a lawyer in the movie, as was the devil, played by Al Pacino.  The  devil’s plan to guide the steps of   his advocate began with setting Reeves up  to win every case as a defense attorney.  By doing so, Pacino
said to himself, if I  cause Reeves to win every case, will he  to literally do “anything” to win when it appears that he may lose his first case? Will he neglect a sick wife?  Will he ignore his mother’s warnings?  Will he even cheat to win? Will he hide evidence?

In the movie,  the devil had been watching the advocate from the time he was born, and he wanted to see if he knew  Reeves better than the advocate  knew himself.  Just in case the advocate had any surprises in his back pocket, the devil  had a back up plan.  His first plan was to cause Reeves to risk
everything in order NOT TO LOSE A CASE.  And when that didn’t work, Pacino’s final plan was even better.  What was the foundation of the entire devil’s conspiracy?  It was the vanity of the advocate relative to his desire to always succeed and excell.

Vanity was the advocate’s Achilles heal. Where Reeves went wrong was in his assumptions. He assumed that he was winning each and every case because of his skill, when in reality, the devil was helping him to win.

So point number one in trying the spirits is this: When you go wrong in your assumptions, you have given place to the devil.

What is an assumption?

An assumption is taking for granted that a particular supposition, fact or circumstance is true. It is prematurely accepting as truth, what is merely an hypothesis or a guess.   For example, when I reflect upon my very first assumption as a Christian, I “assumed” that because I had power in my hands to heal, that:

1.  the healing power was from God;

2.  that God was calling me to minister healing.

It took about 25 years for me to find out that “the healing power that I had was NOT from God.”  So logically speaking, if the the power was not from God, and if it was not from ME, then it must have come from the enemy.  If the power came from the enemy, then what was his agenda in giving me the power?

When I “tried the spirits” on this matter, I realized that I had first manifested healing power while I was a new age occultist.  When I became a Christian and I saw in the bible that Jesus is a Healer, I just “assumed” that since I was now “born again,” I could simply transition occult healing into my
Christian work for God.   WRONG!!!  Along this same train of thought, we “assume” that because what we are doing is similar to what the early apostles did, that we are doing “the same thing.”  It ain’t necessarily so.

With every Christian, the enemy assigned to you is going to “set you up” to be disappointed in God, so that eventually, you will be so frustrated with failure, that you will throw your spiritual hands up in the air and declare, “I’m done with this.”  This was the intent of the healing power I operated in.  The religious devil’s  motive was to frustrate me when those I laid hands on did not “keep” their healing.  This works also in the opposite direction.  If the sick keeps the healing, then “the healer” will assume that he is operating off of divine power, when he is not.

Consequently, the devil remains in control and can exercise authority in the healer’s life whenever he sees fit.

Assumptions are constantly made by Christians who believe that  “the 3 witnesses rule”  is an indication
that a sign, wonder, message or circumstance is  “a confirmation” from God.Confirmation!  Its a twelve letter dirty word that covers a wide field of consideration! In fact,  Satan and his crew get many chuckles out of this one.

There are so many varieties of “confirmations” that it is hard to present one representative example, so I’ll have to  make one up.  You had a dream that you should move to Georgia. Or perhaps someone from your church prophesied over you—“God has called you to minister in Georgia.”   The same day, you heard Ray Charles sing, “Georgia on my mind.”  Then  someone called you on the telephone from Georgia, but it was a wrong number. In the afternoon, a friend stopped by and gave you some peaches.  Georgia peaches.

“So there it is” you say to yourself.  I got 3 signs or witnesses that provide “confirmation” to my dream or prophetic word.  God wants me to move to Georgia.

I use  such a ridiculous example to highlight what foolish believers do constantly.

The”confirmation” thing is nothing but an assumption, not based on fact, not based on truth. When God sends a message, He does not have to confirm it. He may, or He may not. Here is an instance in my life where God supernaturally “showed and proved.”

I had recently divorced my last husband because his drug addiction became unbearable.  However, I still loved him very much so I was vulnerable to him  if he attempted to reconcile. I thought, “since he had not cheated on me since we were married, perhaps I should not have divorced him.”

One morning, I dreamt I saw a mudslide.  My husband jumped into it.  When he got up, a woman was hidden underneath him—in the mud.

As I lay there, considering the meaning of the dream, the phone rang.  It was my ex.  He wanted to reconcile.  I listened but I was quiet, remembering the dream I had just 5 minutes before the call.

I got up out of my bed, and walked into a room that had once been his den.  Laying in the middle of the floor, in a room that I had cleaned several times was an application for credit, made out by my ex.  What I noticed was that he used a different address and phone number on the application.  So I dialed the number. A woman answered.  I asked “Can I speak to Rich?”  She replied, “He is not here right now.  Who is this?”  I said “his wife..”

The woman went berserk.  She screamed “you are not his wife.  You have divorced him.  I have been his woman for the last 3 years.  So you need to go about your business and leave him alone because Rich is MINE!!!”

So when I try the spirits, this was rather supernatural.  It all occurred within the space of 20 minutes. Something appeared on my floor that was not there for two months!!!!  I dreamed about the hidden woman, “under the mud” of my ex’s secret life 5 minutes before his call.

Was this the devil trying to get me to go over there and shoot somebody and end up in jail? For I also had her address.

Not THIS time! lol. Both God and the devil know that I am too wise and too much in control of my emotions to fall for THAT one. The Lord simply provided me with the hidden information that I needed to stop punishing myself for divorcing an adulterer and for NOT TAKING HIM BACK!!!!  I had every
right to divorce him.

At times, God WILL confirm.  When he does, it will not be an assumption.  IT WILL BE FACT AND TRUTH THAT SETS YOU FREE.

Take it from one who knows. Most confirmation comes from the devil.

Here is another personal experience.   I may have used this real life example before, but it bares repeating because it clarifies my point.  In 1979, I had a dream that I saw a
minister standing on my church’s steps, with a robe across his arm.   He looked at me and said, “Girl, I’m gonna marry You!” In the dream, he was wearing a navy blue suit purchased from Sears and a pair of navy blue swede shoes.

Two weeks later, on a Sunday morning, “a force” was trying to stop me from going to
church.  I “assumed” it was the devil. So I persevered and went out of the door,
walking to church.  Looking back today, I realize that it was God who tried to
stop me from going, or at least an angel sent from God.

When I arrived, the new visiting pastor was at the church, robed and wearing a navy blue suit and blue swede shoes.  I was sitting in the congregation and he set his eyes on
me from the pulpit chair.  Later that evening, my pastor called, claiming that the visiting pastor wanted to meet me.  When we met he said “Girl, I’m gonna marry you cause you sooooo pretty!” I asked, where did you buy your suit?  He said “Sears and Roebuck.”

Plenty of confirmation here!.

Without the dream and all of this “confirmation”, I would  never have given this man a second glance.  He was simply not my type.  So because of all of this “confirmation,”  I assumed “this must be God.”  To make a long story short, it was not.  This minister was one of the worst men to ever enter into my life.  He was a Satanic setup for things that could have literally “taken me down and out!.”

So when you have circumstances occur that are similar, with all kinds of confirmation, a try the spirits tip is this—- ,

Run like a bat let out of hell.  Its the devil.

The excuses that we make to explain why we find ourselves under demonic attack are another form of an assumption.  My meaning is better explained by illustration.  I founded a church with a name that I discovered more than a decade later, was given to me by a religious demon.  My kind of vanity was that I “assumed” that because the Denomination I was ordained in was defiled, that my ministry was clean.  You need to know that just because your opposition may be wrong, that doesn’t make you RIGHT!!! I was unaware of
this truth,   so I “assumed”  that the church that I founded was superior to any of the churches in the Denomination.

So when my church and I came under a persistent attach from all sides, I assumed, “we must be doing great things and the devil is angry.”  So the attack caused someone with a personality type like mine to brace myself and hold on to my church and ministry with an even stronger grip.  Little did I know that “this was the motive for the attack—that I would hold on to what God wanted me to let go of, as long as I assumed that I was doing God a service.

Usually when demons bombard you with frequent attacks, they are already in control.  They simply want you to assume that you have a fighting chance.  According to Jessie Penn Lewis, “They attack a person because they are in possession, but make him think and believe it to be an indirect attack, ie. through another person.  The blame is placed on the man himself or someone else, or on anything but the true cause, so that the intruder may not be discovered and expelled.  It is therefore important that all ‘excuses’ should be examined, i.e., the ‘reasons’ for such and such an unexplainable
manifestation.

The causes should always be gone into, for by believing a wrong interpretation of the manifestation, more ground is given to the lying spirits.  The believer may be refusing ground on the one hand, and giving new ground on the other, unless he examines all the suggestions which come to his mind
concerning his condition.” (War on the Saints, pg. 176)

This is what the enemy is looking for when he takes advantage of the assumptions you make.  He is looking for “new ground” to continue to deceive and control you. Those who are most vulnerable are those who love their ministry more than they love Jesus Himself.  Anyone who has a ministry should not assume that it was God who gave it to you.  So go back to what was going on in your life when you assumed that God called you into ministry.

Since I have “been there and done that,” it is easy for me to recognize those who are themselves possessed  by a ministry that they assume  God gave to them.  I can recognize an obsessed worker, one who is consumed with either revival, deliverance, setting captives free, healing, even saving souls, which no one does but God.

Those who are obsessed by “their” ministries are blind to their condition.  Certainly, helping others, giving of your time, teaching and  preaching,  and un-deceiving the deceived are all rightful things.  Nevertheless, very often, the enemy uses ministry as a distraction to the worker’s own need of deliverance from the enemy’s deception.

If you put yourself into the hands of workers like these, you will be subject to both their confusion and their contraditions.  Such workers will seem strong, yet they are weak, loving but they are really stoical and distant.  Why?  Because they are  un-trusting and  afraid of every dark shadow.  Remember.  The
Lord’s yoke is easy and His burden is light.

Anytime you assume that God can’t do His work without YOU, you are in the devil’s hands.

To better “know your enemy,” SEW deliverance training may be for YOU!
